Great haul!!! I’m always impressed by what you bring home. 😉
How do you locate a discount bread store like the one you use? My kids go thru bread like nothing else and it would be fabulous to stock my freezer like that!
A friend actually told me about this one, but we have a couple other ones in our small(ish) city as well. It’s like a bakery outlet store – mainly a big warehouse where they bake/package/deliver bread, but they have a small, not-advertised store inside where they sell things. I googled it and did find this:

Maybe you could search to see if there is one in your area (the one I found all this bread at is a Flower Bakery Outlet store).
Really nice haul. 🙂
Thanks! I was happy. 🙂
I’m so jealous of the great deals you found, especially on the cheese and bread!
I’ve never used coconut flour. What recipes do you use it in?
I use the coconut flour in gluten-free recipes for me. I LOVE gluten, but unfortunately have developed an intolerance for it in the last few years. Very sad, but I am working on finding alternatives and coconut flour is one of my preferred options.
I’m thinking I’ve also developed an intolerance to gluten and my heart is breaking! Do you use the flour in regular recipes or special gluten free ones? Any favorite blogs or recipes you’d like to share? I’m craving a loaf bread recipe that is as close to ‘normal’ as possible.
I feel your pain! Coconut flour is not interchangeable in recipes – you have to use recipes created just for it, and they usually require large amounts of eggs (you can google recipes). Honestly, I have NOT found the perfect bread recipe. The cheapest/closest thing to sandwich bread is the gf one Aldi sells, but it isn’t healthy so I try to save it for special occasions. Oat flour (grind up gf oats in your blender) works as a substitute for regular flour in most muffin and pancake recipes (ones that use baking powder instead of yeast). I usually stick with those type of recipes, but I really miss yeast bread. Maybe someone can chime in with suggestions!
Nice haul this week Brigette!
Thanks!
You can use Walgreen register rewards at Harris teeter???
Yes!!! 🙂
