Love drug store shopping each week? Don’t miss these GREAT deals Brigette grabbed this week at Walgreens!
Walgreens Shopping Trip
All of my coupons are from the Walgreens app. I highly recommend downloading it if you haven’t already. You can clip both Manufacturer’s and Store coupons and stack them together on the same item.
What I Bought:
2 Garnier Fructis – $6.58
Used $3/2 myWalgreens digital manufacturer’s coupon
Used $1/1 myWalgreens digital store coupon (takes off $1 for each)
= $1.58 for 2 out of pocket after coupons
2 Colgate Toothpaste – $7.98
Get $4 Register Rewards when you buy 2
Used $4/2 myWalgreens digital manufacturer’s coupon
Received $4/2 rebate from Amazon Alexa App
= $3.98 for 2 out of pocket after coupon (FREE + $4.02 money maker after register reward and rebate!)
2 General Mills Cereal – $5.00
Used $1/2 myWalgreens digital manufacturer’s coupon
Received $1/2 rebate from Ibotta

Get $5 Register Rewards when you buy 3
PLUS
Get $5 Walgreens Cash when you spend $15
Used $5/3 myWalgreens digital manufacturer’s coupon
Received $5/3 rebate from Ibotta
= $16 for 3 out of pocket after coupon ($1 for 3 after register rewards, Walgreens cash and rebate!)
2 Purex – $7.58
Used $1/1 Liquid Purex myWalgreens digital manufacturer’s coupon
Used $1/1 Purex Pacs myWalgreens digital manufacturer’s coupon
Received $1/1 rebate from Ibotta (the Ibotta rebate only works on the Purex pacs, not the liquid – I found out the hard way!)
= $5.58 for 2 out of pocket after coupon ($4.58 for 2 after rebate!)
Totals:
Total: $31.14 plus tax
Used $8 Register Rewards from previous weeks
Total Paid Out Of Pocket: $25.32, plus I received $9 Register Rewards, $7.47 Walgreens Cash* and $11 in Rebates!
*I was expecting $5 Walgreens Cash, so while I was pleasantly surprised with $7.47, I don’t know why I got this amount.

Great haul! One thing that confuses me though. The Wags coupon for cereal is $1 off the purchase of two boxes. If you submit the claim to the coupon app aren’t you “double dipping?” I wouldn’t think that was honest. The same would be true for the toothpaste deal.

You make a good point that I need to research more. I know “double dipping” on rebates is not a problem (submitting the same receipt to more than one cash back program). I wouldn’t ever use a printed coupon from coupons.com and then try to submit for a rebate on the same product to the coupons.com app.
I always figured since I submit my entire receipt, and they can see which coupons I’ve used or not used, that the rebate wouldn’t go through if I was incorrectly using the system. But I’ll definitely look into it. Thank you for catching that! I took the coupons you mentioned off this post and readjusted my total.

Do you have your Coupons.com App linked to Walgreens? I’m having trouble getting Coupons.com App to accept Reeces Puff cereal. I do not have the App linked. Also, do you have a post on how the Amazon Alexa App works for cash back?
Brigette says
I don’t have my Walgreens account linked currently, because I had constant problems with it when I did have it linked. I’m sorry you’re having trouble! It’s so random how things occasionally don’t work. I know I’ve had good success with contacting customer service for Ibotta, Swagbucks and Fetch Rewards with similar issues and they’ve always added the money into my account.
Here is info on Amazon Alexa app: Open your Amazon Alexa app. Click on “more” (lower right hand screen on my phone). Then click on “lists and notes.” Then click on “shopping.” Once you get here, it will show you all the different rebates available. You just add the ones you want to your list and then upload your receipt similar to all the other apps. It will deposit money directly into your Amazon account as a gift card which you can use on future purchases. I LOVE this app, because it often double dips with other cashback apps I was already using (plus we order from Amazon very often).
Hope this helps, but feel free to ask if you have any more questions!

I downloaded the Amazon Alexa app and submitted an offer for the L’Oreal Paris and received a rejected message that says “Product(s) is already discounted with other manufacturer coupons – See offer details”. Are there any tricks to using this app to get the offer accepted?
Brigette Shevy says
Hi Jill! Sadly, it looks like Amazon has updated their policy to include not allowing manufacturer’s coupons to be stacked with their app rebates. You can still use store coupons and submit to multiple online apps when available (ibotta plus fetch plus Alexa, etc) to get great deals, though!
