If you frequent Facebook, Twitter, Hotmail, or GMail on a daily or more-than-daily basis, you’ll want to sign up for a new site called BeRuby.com. I just found out about this site from Carrie at Money Saving Methods and was so excited because you can get paid every time you visit one of those sites or dozens of other sites!
Just sign up for an account with BeRuby.com here and then login to their site and click-through to Facebook, Twitter, GMail, etc. and you’ll earn a little bit each time you click through to a website. Plus, you’ll earn $0.10 each day that you just log in to the site.
Yes, it’s only a few pennies here and there but if you’re going to be accessing these sites anyway, you might as well make a few nickles, pennies, and dimes for doing so, right?
To make it quicker to find your favorite sites, you can set up a favorites list on your account and then just log in and click on the favorites button to click-through to your favorite websites.

It is $.01 per day not $.10 per day 🙂

Interesting, I am going to give it a try. Thanks!

Well, in exactly 5 months, I should have 12.00 on my account…I’ll try to cash out to see how that goes. 🙂

I have been trying for 3 days to find on there website exactly how much you get paid to do what. I find it very odd that there FAQ doesn’t work. Also I find it odd that no where does it say in writing what exactly you get “paid” for and what percentage, etc….. I earn $.01 for signing in, and $.005 for each page except Ideas4all which pays $.01. However since I joined I have not recieved confirmed credit for checking the BeRuby blog or Ideas4all. I was about to send them an email to ask about this. I am becoming very sceptical….

I cannot get rid of this beruby.com
I have decided I don’t want it and I cannot find a way to get rid of it.
I have wrote to them and so far no response, I an tired of having to click it off every time I open my browser.

P.S. I finished listening to your podcast #2 interview.
Finding your site has really changed my life and mindset! I’m aspiring to reach your levels of success after I wrap my mind around this couponing endeavour. 😀
Not sure if you’ve heard of this site, “Survey Police,” http://www.surveypolice.com/, but I wanted to pass it along. It’s helped me to weed out the sites that seem a little sketch or tedious…in fact, I removed my name from a few of them in order to experiment with the better rated ones.
Keep up your much appreciated efforts!~ 🙂

“Every time someone that you invited joins BeRuby you get one sixth of the earnings that they generate, for life, and you get another sixth of the commission for each person they invite. The larger your network the more you can earn, both directly and indirectly.”
There are 15 “Pay For Visiting” sites. I just completely my evening BeRuby click-through routine. This is how its results should look for you and everyone else:
Blog Beruby US 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
CNN 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Craigslist 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
ESPN Sports Zone 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Facebook 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Gmail (beta) 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Google Maps 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Ideas4All 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.010
Myspace 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
New York Times 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Twitter 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Wikipedia 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Windows Live Mail 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Yahoo! Mail 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
YouTube 16-Nov-2009 $ 0.005
Keep in mind, when you click-through for Google Maps, you have to enter a location to map, otherwise you won’t get credit for completely clicking-through to Google Maps’ page. 🙂 I just caught this little detail a minute ago, actually!
I just did this at right before 6:30 PM EST….the points go on to the next day’s accrual.*
I also noticed that I was not credited yesterday nor today for “Thanks for visiting BeRuby 13-Nov-2009 $ 0.010”, which happened my first two days. So, it seems that the daily click-through will be $0.08.
My total is now $1.30.
Other details to keep in mind:
“On your direct commissions from the sites with rubies, you receive 33% (or one third) of the cash back generated. Another 33% (or one third) of the cash back generated goes to one of the non-profits working with BeRuby. ”
“You can ask for the confirmed amount to be paid to you at any given time. Please note that there will be a processing cost of $2 if the amount paid to you is less than $30. After you reach the $30 threshold, the transfers are free of charge.”
K says
9 cents a day…is what one will earn if clicking through the list of allowable sites.
the catch is to have people sign up under you and search.
also, over the course of a year, $32 and change is the total you will amass by click-throughs, unless you actually register and buy products–which will increase your earnings total.
someone please correct me if i’m wrong, but it seems one only gets 1/3 of the totall points they earn! another 1/3 goes to charity and the last 1/3 gets pocketed by BeRuby. so really, over a year, you’re only going to collect $10. (?)
even so, it’s more than what my savings account would earn in interest right now! 🙂

Money Saving Mom here: Hmm, I didn’t see anything about people signing up under you. Do you have a link for that? I’m just trying to figure this out and trying to figure out why I have the odd $1.38 in my account!
christine waltz says
Yeah, it appears it is a penny a day for signing in. It’s an easy mistake to make thinking it is a dime since they have it as 0.010 rather than just .01. I guess they figured they needed that extra digit since the payout for most of the sights is .005 or one half cent per visit. The site is still worthwhile if you go to these sites. I figure if I make 8 cents a day over 30 days I am getting 2.40. So I could potentially make close to $30 extra dollars a year($29.20 for $365 days at 8 cents) for clicking on a little over a dozen sites, many which I already visit. Even with a $2 payout, it’s still the equivalent of a gift card for someone for Christmas or an evening out for hubby and I. Furthermore, I figure if these sights are able to get traffic through beruby then perhaps more sites will use it as a portal. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Money Saving Mom here: My balance is showing up as $1.38 and I’ve logged in both days and gone to a few sites so it appears like it is more than just a penny per day. But I could be wrong.
Anyone else want to share what they’ve earned so far? I’m trying to figure out where my random number came from.
jenny says
I’ve logged in both days and I’ve earned a penny a day, not ten cents. Just an FYI.

I sent an email to Beruby as there were a few conditions that were not absolutely clear. Here is what I sent:
The concept looks very interesting. Before signing up, I would like to know all conditions. Many conditions are discussed throughout the site. But a few remain:
1) How does the money that accrues in the account get dispersed to those that are registered? Has that not yet been determined? I think that is an important item to have finalized before making the site available. Is that why the site is considered ‘Beta’?. The most I saw on it was:
BERUBY will not make any payments until the minimum amount is reached. This amount will be determined in the Terms of Payment in force at each moment.
BERUBY will settle the account by any means it considers appropriate. If BERUBY decides to use PayPal ®, the user at BERUBY will have to open an account with this service. Those already enrolled will not need to open a new account. The amounts disbursed by BERUBY to the User as compensation will be net of taxes.
2) A statement in the commissions description remains unclear:
On your direct commissions from the sites with rubies, you receive 33% (or one third) of the cash back generated. Another 33% (or one third) of the cash back generated goes to one of the non-profits working with BeRuby.
a) Does this mean that if a person clicks through to Facebook, they are really going to receive 33% of $ .01 ?
b) What are the ‘several non-profits’ working with BeRuby. Since they are not specifically named, it causes those thinking about registering to be cautious.
c) Where does the other 33% go since the site only mentions two of the three 33% allocations? If that is profit to the Beruby company, it should be stated as such.
d) Is the money that is discussed in commissions in US dollars? It is mentioned somewhere on the site about a Spanish holdings company, and nowhere is it explicitly stated that it is in US currency.
I am certain that if I have these questions, there are many, many more like me who have the same questions. I feel that those are important enough points that one should not register until they are disclosed.
Becky says
So we’d have to go to the site to get points. I access those sites easily using apps on my phone so it wouldn’t be worth it.
Chrys says
Those with ‘Rubies’ beside them get cash back (1-3 with 3 being the most)
Amy says
Woo hoo! I’m in! Every little bit counts.
Julia says
When I click on the above link, it takes me to CashCrate. Is this what you intended?
Kristina says
I clicked on the links you have posted and they took me to a different site.

Wow! Thanks! this looks great!
Do you know anything about lockerz? it’s supposed to be better than swagbucks…but you have to have an invite to join. Just wondering if you had heard anything about this!!
Thanks!!

Money Saving Mom here: A friend here just told me about it and sent me an invite. I’m going to be checking it out over the next month and will post about it here after I’ve tried it out.

It says that there will be a $2 fee for payouts of less than $30.
Leticia says
I Just signed up…thanks for that…nice to get paid for something you do already 🙂 Does anyone know which websites pay just for clicking on them? I earned 8 cents today…Thanks
Lee says
I signed up and went to every site I made .09 doing that. If I go to every site and sign in each day that is $.19 or about $5.70 a month or $68 dollars a year. That is without any friends joining under me. Sounds great to me!
april says
i signed up. From what I gathered, payout is at $10. I go to the sites on there everyday so I might as well make a few pennies doing it.
Melody says
Not sure about the comment about being for Canada residents only? I signed up yesterday and I definitely live in the US. Maybe you went to a different link?
jaymelogue says
Thanks for this! Already registered! It’ll be a nice extra little bit for Christmas next year!!
Lona Pritchett says
I got a dollar for just signing up! You are the best! Thank you!
Sarah H. says
I just looked around on this site. It sounds great, but it appears that they have serious limits. You only earn half of a cent for each website you visit and you can only get one visit per day on each website that I clicked on to check out.
That would earn me maybe 3 cents per day. And you have to get paid through paypal, which is probably nice, but I just don’t need that extra step in my life.
I don’t know, if it’s better than it looks, somebody let me know! I would love for it to work for me. 🙂

Money Saving Mom here: From what I can tell, you should be able to earn around $0.13-$0.15 per day for logging in and then clicking on favorites to visit websites you usually go to. It’s definitely not much, but it could add up over time to be a little bit of money–and if every little penny counts at this point in your life, it’s a way to earn a little free money. If you wanted to save a few extra step, you could also just login everyday to earn the $0.10.
Cheryl Beynum says
A great way to earn date-night money!
Lorrie says
I read about this on Money Saving Methods yesterday as well. I was thinking about signing up.
Heather says
Wow! This is great! I visit these sites all the time! Thanks for the heads up! I’ve already signed up. Every little bit counts!
Tausha says
It says you only earn half of a penny once a day for visiting the website, not half a penny for every visit
Elizabeth says
You might add to your note here that this is for Canada residents only. Thanks.

I’m afraind your having a problem with the comment feed to
follow this conversation as all I get is a page of random letters, and symbols! I don’t know if anyone else if having any problems but I would like to follow the discusstion.

If I join BeRuby.com can I also do SwagBucks? or should I pick one & stick with it?
I’m not currently with either of those 2 above. Which would be the better one to devote my time & energy on?

Money Saving Mom here: I’d personally recommend doing both. On Swagbucks, you can just go to the homepage and do a few searches per day and earn 1-3 points–which will earn you at least a $5 Amazon gift card each month. Then, you can log in to BeRuby and click on your favorite websites to earn at least $0.13 to $0.15 per day–which will earn you around $4 to $4.50 per month.
