Are you new to cooking and baking ahead and wondering what kind of
stuff you can freeze? As I
confessed last time, I really have no idea what I'm doing so I'm not really qualified to write authoritatively on the topic.
However, FishMama is much more of pro in this realm than me and she has an excellent post up here with details on what you can and can't freeze, along with recipe links.

Jaycie,
I freeze pancakes all the time! I flip them when slightly golden, and let them sit and cool, before placing them in gallon baggies, separated by wax paper.
I freeze cilantro in the summer to use all year long. I chop it then put it in ice cube trays with water. When it freezes, I take the blocks out and ziploc bag it. That way I have individual servings for meals etc. I just take out a block when I need it.
This is so so hopeful. Do you freeze the Apple Slab cake? If so do you slice it first? Does the pastry go funny?
Does anyone freeze pancakes successfully? If you make pancake batter, how long do you think it would last in the refrigerator? I just got a pancake griddle and have been loving making pancakes but would love to make more at once instead of every other day!
This is great. I’m needing to do a freezer session soon and had a few questions about what was good to freeze and not. Thanks, Crystal!
