We celebrated the fourth of July with a fun day with friends — ending with watching a nearby fireworks show from a parking lot.
He has so much hair and it cracks me up when he wakes up with his hair all sticking up!
His little wrinkled brow!
I still can’t believe that I’ve been consistently able to pump at least 4-6 extra oz. every morning after Micah’s first feed. I usually use some of it for a bottle for him sometime during the day, but then I’ve been freezing the rest! After always having a low supply, this has just been amazing!
Look at D! He started trying to take a few steps this past week!
I love this shirt from Goods & Better!
His face while being squished by two of his sisters is the funniest!
We’ve been loving our evening walks!
Micah had another weight check and we were thrilled that he gained back all his birth weight plus an additional ounce!! He’s almost 7 pounds now!
C got to meet Micah this past week when we watched him his mom worked.
D finally got his orthotics in!
Need a smile today? Go watch this.
I took the last four weeks off from any real goal-setting since my big goals were just to have the baby and rest and recover. But now that I’m feeling so much better, I’m excited to slowly jump back into goal-setting.

Lol. You brought back memories of my days with my 3 kids ( they are stair steps as well in age. ) My age was at the time 47. You can do this. God’s grace is greater than anything I know. I had a wagon when we went on walks that had straps. Always took a blanket for the youngest.
Miss those days!! PS. I’m now 52 with a 5,6,and 7 year olds.
Beautiful family!! Such a blessed life!! Glory to God!

It’s a full season with three teens, too — but every day is filled with so much fun and good memories, too!

It’s so exciting that you can nurse well! I’m not a lactation consultant (just an RN with four kids) but that says to me that your other kids may have had a latch problem. If you should have another child and are struggling to nurse again find a lactation consultant or pediatric dentist that is familiar with tongue and lip ties. With my first we just struggled through because he was getting enough milk even though it was very painful for me. My second had a severe tie and it affected his nursing and bottle feeding and his ability to eat solids. That’s when we figured out what was going on. The following two also has ties that we corrected early and nursing was such a good experience with them. It’s hereditary and we have a history of it on both sides of our family. But it’s often missed or the difficulty nursing is blamed on the mom’s supply.

Kierstyn was the one who had issues and we had her checked thoroughly for tongue and lip ties and there weren’t any. I worked with multiple lactation consultants + had an amazingly supportive pediatrician and we tried all the things. She had a good latch, just didn’t have a strong suck. I had a huge list of things I tried that helped, but nothing ever worked enough for her to be satisfied/gain enough weight so we ended up supplementing some with her for the first six months. I also think that the stress of having two newborns/fostering, etc. could have played a part in my body not producing enough, too.
(I’d always been able to exclusively breastfeed; I just never had more than enough to feed my babies so I wasn’t able to pump and freeze because I needed all the ounces every day! So it’s super exciting for me to actually have creamy, rich milk as opposed to more skim milk and to have enough to be able to pump and freeze some every day!)

You should feel so accomplished with all you have done for your family. You appear to be a highly accomplished and motivated mother keeping so many balls in the air for your family and self. To everything there is a season and you are harvesting blessings from your years of work and planting seeds. Congrats on your blessings!

Thank you for your encouragement!

Good bless you and your beautiful family!!!
So happy you are doing so well post-birth, and with pumping and breastfeeding. I found it challenging to find time for pumping as my family grew (I have 6 kids). Keep going you are doing great!!

Thank you so much! I’m only pumping first thing in the morning — I pumped multiple times a day with Kierstyn and it was a lot so I’m just sticking with once a day this time.
