If you missed this morning’s assignment, find it here.
Today was a calmer day after two very busy days… and that was so nice!
I was excited to discover that the space above my cupboards was nowhere near as dirty and dusty this time around as it was in April.
But the top of my refrigerator needed some desperate organization!
Ah! White space! I love it! 🙂
How did you do on Day 13? I’d love to have you share your progress and success with us so we can be inspired. Either post a link to your blog post below or leave a comment with your update.

I always just stand on a chair. And I did mine before Thanksgiving because it needed it so badly!! Trust me Crystal, your dirty is my clean.

Unfortunately in my tiny kitchen I use the top of the fridge for storage! I don’t love having stuff there, but I slide it under the cabinet toward the back and it works okay. BUT, it means I can’t exactly clear the “clutter.” Though I wouldn’t call my Le Creuset dutch oven that’s up there clutter. 😉

I was thinking one of those long armed tools that I saw for cleaning ceiling fans would work well on the space above the cabinets.

Just jumping in today. (Flylady’s philosophy, hope you don’t mind!) With 20 mo. Twins underfoot I didn’t get to the cabinet tops but it is now at least on my radar for when they are napping. Took me 30 minutes to defilth my bathroom. Hopefully I will remember to prioritize it next week and not be in there so long. I love this …?program?, As my brain has forgotten mainentence mode. I’ve been stuck in “triage” mode for the last 2 years almost and this is the best way to get me back to normal mode other then my mom calling me everyday and telling me what to do. Cause that method has crossed my mind!

I didn’t even attempt most the stuff up there just makes me so upset since I lost my laundry room now every nook and cranny is filled with stuff. I thought about starting then I thought about cutting out my mother-in-law’s heart with a spoon.

I didn’t have to clean the tops of my cupboards today as mine go up to the ceiling. But I did get out my steam cleaner and cleaned the grease build up off the top of the refrigerator and the cupboard doors. Everything looks so nice and shiny clean again.
I have to confess I forgot to make my to do list today.

Oh that’s an excellent idea!

Crystal how did you get up there? I was standing on my counters awaiting the scolding I knew my daughter and husband would give.
Crystal says
Um, stand on the countertops… and I almost fell when trying to get down! There’s got to be a better way, but I’m not sure what it is!
K Quinn says
Yeah me too. I kept think the same thing, “There must be a better way.” LOL!

A hungry team of college basketball players invited over for dinner once a month perhaps? “Oh and boys while you’re here, the tops of my cupboards…”

I remember as a little girl just hopping up on the countertop to reach whatever I needed on the higher shelves of the cabinets. Yes, I would get yelled at by my parents. I cannot imagine being able to just hop up on the counter now. I need a chair, and perferably, my husband standing there as a spotter! lol
