I’ve set aside the month of March to really focus on organization in my home and life. And I’d love for you to join me!
Day 18 Assignment
::Get dressed in something that makes you feel great {there’s something about dressing in clothes that make you feel great that just gives you more energy and zest for life!}
::Sit down with a cup of coffee or tea, refer to your list of weekly goals, and make a list of no more than 5-7 specific things you want to accomplish today.
::Complete your morning routine {if you don’t have a morning routine, take some time to create one today! Read my How to Develop a Routine That Works–And Stick With It series for step-by-step help.}
::Set the timer for 15 minutes and vacuum the main living areas of your home.
::Vacuum your carpeted closets. Sweep or mop the floor in those closets without carpet. Remove all items from the closet floor and get rid of clutter, trash, and items that don’t belong in that closet.
::Find 7 items to get rid of today. Throw them out, stick them in a donate or garage sale box, give them to a friend who can use them, or list them on Craigslist or eBay.
Note: If you work outside the home or have a really busy week with little time for extra projects, just do the bolded project above.

I’ve gotten behind too! However, it does take me less time to clean up and I feel more focused about what I want to clean up when I do.

I am getting pretty far behind on these challenges, but I have off next week so I’m going to look at the list and see what all I still want to do and make a plan. I did get my car cleaned out and spend some time finding things to get rid of so this challenge has been great!!

Cleaned my closet and it feels amazing! Spring has not come to the Chicagoland area yet but I feel lighter and more ready than ever for a new season to come 🙂 Thanks!

I want to say before I begin that I don’t have any idea the effort that might be involved in what I am about to ask, so realize that I know that. 🙂 Is there any way these challenges and updates could be in their own feed? As a working mom who is fairly naturally organized, they aren’t really relevant to me and 3 of the 4 items in my Money Saving Mom Lite feed this morning are related to this challenge. I want to be clear – this is not a complaint. I love MSM, and I know there are MANY people who love these challenges. I get so much from other pieces of this site and I am so very appreciative of all that you and your team do. It’s more just that I know that you already have several different feeds (I subscribe to more than one of them) and so it occurred to me to wonder. Honestly, I think I was disappointed because I had seen a FB entry for 107 ways to save your family money and expected to see it in my feed reader and it wasn’t. 🙂 I didn’t have time to read it when I saw the FB entry – I do realize I could have clicked the link from there, and I can locate it on my own anyway (I’m sure it will show up in my feed reader at some point also), but I think that’s why I was bummed to see 3 challenge posts instead. Thank you for such a great site!

Thanks so much for the suggestion — I appreciate your input. We’re almost done with this challenge (it ends Friday), but we’ll keep this in mind for future challenges. Since most of the people who are signed up for the LITE feed, really like the challenges, we’ll probably keep things as is, but we appreciate hearing your input.
And here’s the link to that post you were referring to: https://moneysavingmom.com/2014/03/107-ways-save-family-money-big-time.html It should show up in the LITE feed, but sometimes it takes a little while to do so.
