15 Ways to Earn More Swagbucks (Part 3)

Over the last three weeks, we’ve been exploring 15 ways to earn more Swagbucks. Read Part 1 and Part 2 if you missed them.

9. Take Trusted Surveys

Swagbucks offers similar survey opportunities to paid survey opportunities, only you earn Swagbucks instead of cash.

There are mixed reviews on the survey opportunities, similar to what the paid survey opportunities usually are like. Some people do really well with them, some people spend a lot of time filling out pre-survey questionnaires only to find out they don’t qualify.

If you enjoy filling out surveys, I’d say it’s worth a shot to try doing some of the Trusted Surveys through Swagbucks. However, if you find you’re rarely qualifying for surveys, I’d skip the surveys and focus on some of the other more reliable earning opportunities.

10. Play Swagbucks Games

I tried my hand at the Swagbucks games and was less than enthused. However, I’m one of those people who basically finds computer games incredibly boring. If you’re unlike me and you enjoy computer games, this might be a great way to earn Swagbucks.

Sarah, from Free or Better commented last week:

I make the most with the Games. I’m really, really good at one game in particular, and for awhile I was winning up to 10 tournaments a day for probably 200 Swagbucks. Then they put a five-tournaments-a-month limit, and I stick to the big weekly ones, still winning 1000-2000 Swagbucks each for those.

11. Go Through the No Obligation Special Offers

Every day, you can go to the No Obligation Special Offers section and skip through all the offers (sign up if something interests you, but skip those which don’t interest you). At the end, you just have to type in a simple phrase and you’ll earn two Swagbucks. From start to finish, this will take you no more than 20 seconds and you can do it every single day!

12. Purchase Groupons Through Swagbucks

If you’re going to purchase a Groupon deal, always head to the Daily Deals page on Swagbucks and click through there to purchase it. In many cases, you’ll earn 150 to 300 Swagbucks for your purchase — which can make the Groupon deal even sweeter!

13. Trade-In

If you have old cell phones, MP3 players, games, consoles or books you want to get rid of, check out how many Swagbucks you can earn by trading them in. After looking up your item, you can print out a pre-paid shipping label and receipt, stick it in the mail and you’ll be awarded your Swagbucks after your trade-in is processed.

14. Follow Swagbucks on Twitter

If you follow Swagbucks on Twitter, you’ll be the first to know about Twitter-only codes available. Plus, multiple times per week, they randomly award Twitter followers with 100 free Swagbucks for tweeting using the hastag #Swagbucks.

15. Follow Swagbucks on Facebook

The Swagbucks Facebook Page is the place to find out about the latest Swagcodes and discuss all things related to Swagbucks. Since there are so many members and everyone is allowed to post on the wall, sometimes the discussions or comments get a little out of hand.

Also, I’ve found that the Swagbucks Facebook Page is a goldmine for finding the best phrases to search. I never seem to have great success when searching on my own, but when I search the phrases people suggest on there, I almost always win double digit Swagbucks. I have no idea what’s up with that, but you should try it, too!

How to Earn 15 Swagbucks Every Day in Less Than Five Minutes (enough for a $5 Amazon Gift Card each month)

Search and Win (see my suggestion above for searching phrases on the Swagbucks Facebook Page)– approximately 10 points
Click on NOSO and Skip Offers — 2 Swagbucks
Take the Daily Poll — 1 Swagbuck
Login Via the Toolbar — 1 Swagbuck
Click on Trusted Surveys — 1 Swagbuck

How to Earn 100 Swagbucks Every Day (enough for $25+ in Amazon Gift Cards each month)

Search — approximately 10 points
Click on NOSO and Skip Offers — 2 Swagbucks
Take the Daily Poll — 1 Swagbuck
Login Via the Toolbar — 1 Swagbuck
Click on Trusted Surveys — 1 Swagbuck
Complete Two Offers Worth at Least 8 Points Each
Watch 250 Videos — 75 Swagbucks (If you work on the computer a lot, you can just play these while you’re working on other things and click over and start another video every few minutes. You’ll earn 3 Swagbucks for every 10 videos you watch.)

[And yes, watching 250 videos per day is probably completely unrealistic for most of us (I rarely watch more than 40 per day and I work on the computer for a few hours most days!), but I just thought it’d be fun to show how it is possible to earn 100 Swagbucks per day without purchasing a Groupon, signing up for trial offers which require a credit card or having any referrals under you!]

#11 May be changing? I have never had to skip through more than 6 offers, until this morning. I did not keep count, but I am sure I had to skip at least 20 today- which was crazy! I hope it is not a permanent change, because it felt like some of the other special offers for other companies that I so dislike and avoid like the plague : (

  • Meredith says:

    me three!

  • Katie says:

I thought it was just my computer this morning. After like the tenth screen, I almost just gave up.

  • RJane says:

Does everyone get Atlanta’s “Daily Deals” when they click to go to the Daily Deals page? I do….but I DON”T live anywhere near Atlanta?! What’s with that? Is there any way I can get my local deals through Swagbucks? Thanks.

    • Rhianna says:

I get my local deals but I’ve found when I want to buy another deal from a different city I just click through whatever link appears on the daily deals page and then go to the city from there, I just did it earlier this week and still received the Swagbucks right away.

      • stephanie says:

That is great advice. Thank you. I thought I was stuck with only my cities & didn’t know how to change that.

      • Ashley says:

I have the same problem. I live in Dallas and get Las Vegas local deals. So are y’all saying that if I click on the Las Vegas Groupon and then find Dallas and buy that one, I’ll still get the SB’s?

  • shelly says:

Any suggestions on watching the videos “efficiently”? I try to have them running while I’m working on the computer, but seem to have a hard time remembering to click over every couple of minutes to go to a new one. Just hoping someone has a strategy 🙂

    • Rebecca H says:

One thing I’ve noticed… you don’t have to watch the whole video… if you just let it go to 1 min and 15 seconds, you get the credit. hope that helps…

    • Liz says:

Do you have a tablet? Mute it and as long as your on wifi, let them run all night ?.

  • Mary C says:

i have found the tv isn’t worth my time anymore. Since the auto replay was taken away I feel like all I am doing is clicking. Sometimes my 6 year old will keep it going for me while I cook or clean. We live the animal vidoes 🙂

  • Sharon says:

Wow! Thanks. I printed out the list to keep by my computer to use as a checklist. Sometimes Iforget all the ways to earn them now.

  • Mary C says:

OH sorry I keep posting but I forgot to add

I win EVERY day by searching “moneysavingmom”! Really I do. sometimes twice a day.

  • Kristin says:

I’m confused on the whole Swagbucks TV thing. I have watched 5 different videos, and my percentage is still at 0. What am I doing wrong?

    • Erin says:

@Kristin – sounds like a glitch on your SBTV. It definitely shouldn’t be doing that. I would contact support and let them know about it.

  • stephanie says:

Crystal, can you elaborate on the following:
Also, I’ve found that the Swagbucks Facebook Page is a goldmine for finding the best phrases to search. I never seem to have great success when searching on my own, but when I search the phrases people suggest on there, I almost always win double digit Swagbucks. I have no idea what’s up with that, but you should try it, too!

I’m a bit confused about the phrases part. I really don’t have time to scroll through/read all facebook entries. How do you find such ones? Isn’t that frowned upon by FB?

    • Sarah says:

Stephanie, how long have you been doing Swagbucks? I’ve been on for about 6 months, and I’m under the impression that it doesn’t matter WHAT you search for. There have been times when I’ve searched for “yahoo”, got nothing, and just hit “go win” again immediately and won 10. I usually win 2-3 searches per day, but I always use the same 15 or so things I search for each day. I’m pretty sure it’s random whether or not you win.

    • jonie says:

If you go to swagbucks facebook page….you will see people mentioning “9 for facebook”…”11 for “what’s up for lunch”….”10 for st patricks day” etc….that is the phrase Crystal is talking about.

Sometimes you will win swagbucks by typing in the same thing, sometimes you will not. Also sometimes people at the swagbucks facebook page will say “the gate is open” or something like that…that is when alot of people have a higher chance of winning the search.

    • Crystal says:

People will just post on the Facebook Page and say “I just won 10 points for searching ____”. I’ve just found that I seem to win more when I search those terms than things I come up with on my own. And since it’s on the Swagbucks Facebook Page, I assume it’s okay to search for these things.

      • stephanie says:

Thanks for the clarification. I have never looked at any of the FB posts that people write. Maybe I’ll start to take a glance!

  • Miranda says:

Thanks for this post! It’s really helpful for me as it typically takes me awhile to rack up Swagbucks. Thanks for all the time & effort you put into MoneySavingMom. It’s one of my favorite sites & I’ve recommended it to lots of moms. Thanks! ~Miranda

  • Sarah says:

Hey all, another note on the games… Find one you like, and play for free awhile. You’ll get rewarded with 2sb here and there, but you’ll also get a good idea about what a good score is. Once you think you’re pretty good at it, THEN start entering tournaments. Start with the small payout ones till you get a feel for what scores you need to win big (you can win up to 125sb a month that way). Since they imposed the 5-per-month limit, I’ve also noticed, at least on the game I like, that the score needed to win the biggies is much lower. I was a total SB nerd Tuesday night and got up at 12:30am (tournament ends 1:00am EST) to check the tournament scores and be ready to play again if someone had gotten ahead of me. I won about 2800.

  • I have a bunch of swagbucks but there’s no amazon gift card (that I can find) so I’m trying to save up for the target one. Do they no longer offer the amazon one?

    • Shanna says:

I just checked and it’s still there. It’s about 2/3 down the first page and says e-gift card.

  • Ashley says:

I do the ones where you sign up for something and get a ridiculous amount of SB. I just put a sticky note on my coputer desktop screen to cancel in 3 days (some say 2 days and others have a 7 or 10 day limit). It’s worked out awesome for me 🙂

  • Liz says:

I am new to swag bucks so I have a silly question. So if you click on one of the special offers like vista print mug for 1.99- what happens if you decide you don’t want to do it after all? Do you just not get the swag bucks? I am chicken to click through and try it to see what happens!

  • We use swagbucks with google chrome. How do I login using the toolbar?

    • jonie says:

      Hi Allyson

Google chrome does not support Swagbucks toolbar. But swagbucks has a google chrome plugin…click on the link below and follow the steps.

Please note: you will not get the 1sb daily for using it as it is not a toolbar, but you can use it to search and win. Hope you understand what I am saying. 🙂

    • Carrie #2 says:

Have you downloaded the toolbar? If not, then you might consider doing so. I guess go to swagbucks dot com and see if you can find it there.

  • sona says:

i just watche a video and it didnt add any SB. Not sure what is necessary. It said I did, but i didnt “”like” on FB as it aske me to. Is that the secret?

    • Crystal says:

You have to watch 10 videos to earn 3 Swagbucks. It sounds like a lot, but if you have them playing while you’re working on the computer, it can add up quickly.

      • Heather says:

The videos in Healthy & Safety – under Prevention are really short. There are some on MUFAs and Flat Belly foods that are about one minute each. There are also very short ones on How to Keep Your Skin Moisturized, Benefits of Facial Mist Spray that are only about 30 to 40 seconds each.

  • CJ says:

I cant do the NOSO on my home computer because the phrase you need to type in doesnt appear, apparently a problem with my browser that I cant fix. I wish they’d go back to just giving you 1 SB automatically like it used to be. Somedays I win 2-4 searches without hardly trying and other days I can search all day and not win any. I hardly ever qualify for the surveys but earlier this week I made it through one that gave me 100 SB!

    • Nicole says:

When this happens type in anything, even just one letter, and it will say you failed or something then you will be able to click on try again or whatever it says and the phrase to type in will then show up! Does that make sense? This worked for me when I had this problem for a couple of days. HTH

  • CJ says:

I forgot to add that almost every time I win a search I have to type in a captcha code to earn the SB. Much of the time the code doesnt display or the page flips over before I have enough time to type it in. So I lose out on probably 100 SB a week from that. Anyone else have this happen to them? I’ve contacted SB about it but all they can suggest is try another browser which isnt an option for me.

  • Nicole says:

When you are playing games for free you will win 2sb for every 2 games you play. After you finish each game you need to click back to the main game page each time. Your sb will show up on that main page when you click back after your second game. Score does not matter. You can loose very quickly to speed it up. I do this off and on all day to get to the 10sb limit per day. My older kids can help do this also.

    • Sherri says:

Thanks for the tip. I play the same game a couple of times and never get anything for it. I never thought to click back to the main page each time.

  • Carrie #2 says:

What rewards do people usually choose? I don’t do any shopping over the internet so I would rather have a regular gift card than an e-card. It seems as if people are in love with Amazon but when I go on there, I don’t really see anything interesting. So I was just curious as to which rewards people were choosing and if they choose the Amazon e-card then what are they choosing over at Amazon? Thanks for any rewards suggestions.

    • Crystal says:

Most of us are buying diapers and groceries from Amazon, as the diaper deals are significantly less (when stacked with a 20% off and $10 off and 30% coupon code) than pretty much anything you’ll find in-store.

Amazon carries almost everything and you can get free shipping most of the time so that’s why most of us like Amazon best!

    • Sherri says:

I always get the $5 Amazon card. I use them to buy books for homeschooling, or I save them to buy Christmas presents. Last Dec I bought a couple of dvds, a computer game, 2 books, and a necklace to give as gifts. The best part is that my kids are not picky, so I can buy a used book or game for their gift and they are totally okay with it.

  • Susan says:

Per a suggestion on Frugal Hacks – I’ve been playing only word games for free on Swagbucks. It was slow going at first, but I’m getting better at the games and may actually enter a tournament one of these days. I enjoy word games and find that these are a good way to exercise or expand my vocabulary.
Oh, and I finally was able to redeem SB for an Amazon gift card today, despite having an unrecognized cell phone provider when I was “randomly” selected for address verification. I email customer service and they sent out a postcard with a PIN # to be used to verify my account. The entire process took about 7 days. Sound like a long time – until I remember that it takes me a YEAR to save up enough at MyPoints to redeem for anything significant!

    • Crystal says:

Great tip on the word games!

    • Sherri says:

I enjoy playing WorDrop, and am decently good at it now. Thanks to the limit on tournaments, I have been able to win the 10-player one 3 times recently (and twice I really didn’t have that great of a score). The folks who are awesome at the games gravitate to the big payout tournaments to maximize their return. That leaves the smaller ones open to the better-than-average players. Give it a shot and see what happens- you may be surprised!

  • Cat says:

someone probably already said this, but some of the videos on the pets and animal section are 30-60 seconds long – find a few and just watch them over and over and you can rack up swagbucks fast

  • Jen says:

You might want to go check out the blog right now! 😉 That’s all I’m sayin’!

  • Anya says:

The $25 Amazon e-gift card requires 3,150 SB to be redeemed, not 100. Am I missing something? Sorry, new to Swagbucks.

    • Crystal says:

If you earn 100 Swagbucks every day that’s 3000 Swagbucks per month. The $5 Amazon gift cards are 450 Swagbucks each and you can use as many as you’d like in one order on Amazon. However, you can only order five per month.

      I hope that helps!

  • Anya says:

Never mind the previous post, I think I answered my own question. It’s per day at 100 SB X 31 days = 3100SB. Thanks Crystal for this informative post, and pardon my blondeness. 🙂

  • Jo says:

Thank you! This is so helpful. 🙂

  • Jen says:

I always check the first 3 pages when I search, sometimes I get SB on the 2nd and 3rd pages

  • Anna says:

I think you forgot the biggest and easiest way to earn more swagbucks- Get Referrals!

  • helen says:

When I began to sign up for Sawgbucks, the agreement seemed to say they have the right to use one’s name and picture if you win a ‘contest’. Not sure if winning a contest is the same as redeeming points. Have any of you experienced this and/or do you have concerns about privacy? I’d love to use Swagbucks, but don’t want to share my name and picture. Thanks very much for any information you can share about this.

  • Katy says:

My kids noticed the games and begged me to let them play. They earn me up to 14 Swagbucks pretty quickly!
