I’m so excited to be heading back to the Cincinnati Homeschool Convention again this year — and bringing my family with me! We met so many of you last year and I can’t wait to see many of you again, as well as to meet a number of new readers, too!
I’m speaking four times this weekend and would love to get to meet you. Truthfully, meeting my readers is one of the greatest highlights about conferences to me, so if you’re planning on being at the conference, definitely drop by the booth or find me after one of my sessions!

Thank you for helping me stay on track!

I absolutely love this challenge. I did monthly goals instead of weekly, but I’ll post how I do every week with my monthly goals. Thanks for your continued inspiration!!

My big excitement from last week’s goals was that I finally finished 4 workouts during the week instead of 3 (or less)! We’ll see if I can keep it up. 🙂
This week I’m focusing mostly on exercise, getting back on track with eating whole foods, and viola practice for an upcoming concert.

That is quite a list of goals! You amaze and inspire me, Crystal. One of my goals this week is to follow your daily April cleaning schedule. I cleaned the kitchen today!

Hi Crystal,
Looking forward to seeing you again at the conference. I’ve already gone through the schedule and highlighted your speaking times so I dont forget to attend them. There are so many good speakers to choose from and the exhibit hall is so interesting I sometimes can lose track of time!!!! I make sure to highlight the ones I’m super interested in hearing. We are uber excited that Tim Hawkins is back this year- we will be there too!!See you later this week!!

However, I did set some goals for me to accomplish while on spring break.
1. Go through my daughter’s closet and sort through too small clothing to get ready for the town wide garage sale.
2. Vaccume the entire house- I know that this seems disgusting, but I only vaccume maybe once every other month. It is just the three of us and we don’t have any pets. We rarely eat out in the living room and our shoes are always taken off at the entry way.
3. Start and finish my rough draft for my case study. My case study last semester took roughly 25-30 hours to compile and retouch over the course of 2-3 weeks.
4. Make an appointment for the learning center to have one of the tutors go over the case study to reassure me that everything is in APA format (I HATE IT!!!!). Then revise again!
5. Deep clean my car. I just got it the middle of February but it already needs to be washed inside and out.. there are spots of sweet tea in the front seats..OOPSIES!
6. Start running again. My inlaws have 150+ acres of land. There is a particular area that is exactly one mile when you go around it once. As a family, we are going to commit to running at least one 5k this year.
7. Start on my adaptive toy for my clinical site. I already have an idea of what I am going to do ( I just LOVE Pinterest!). I just need to compile a list of materials needed and go shopping for it.
I think these pretty much sum it up! I am so excited but already drained because of what I need to accomplish… but I would rather get all this done now than wait til the last moment!!

I love doing read aloud time with my kids too. I think it is about the only time my little guy can sit still. He loves to hear any story I read to him.
I hope you have a great time at the conference.

I accomplished all but one goal last week; this week’s goals are a little bit more of a stretch, so we’ll see how I do. I’m still trying to find that goal-setting balance between making things too easy and challenging myself too much.

It was great to meet you last year at the Cinci conference. We won’t be there this year (we seem to go every other year). But I know your family will have a lot of fun! 🙂
Crystal says
They are stoked about Tim Hawkins! 🙂

I will be at the Cinncinati Homeschool Conference, and will stop by to introduce myself. I am working on my goals list but am not as dilligent in some areas as you. Do you think that each goal should be met each week, or should it be more of moderation with schedules?
Crystal says
I aim to meet each goal every week, but rarely meet each and every goal. It’s moreso what I’m shooting for, not always what I hit. Goals just challenge me to aim higher and be more intentional with how I use my time and days.
Does that make sense?
And I’ll look forward to meeting you this weekend!
