I’ve been following your site for way too long to just now be setting goals. Better late than never, I guess. Thanks for providing the inspiration and the motivation for me to get started!

I actually had a really good week with my goals! I am realizing that it takes more energy and time to develop and dwell on reasons why I “can’t” do something than it does to actually just suck it up and get it done. And I finished reading my first book of 2013! I have a long list on request at the library. I am loving how much time I have since realizing I get more accomplished when I “just do it.”

It’s only Tuesday and I’ve crossed so much off my list! I think since I’m exercising again, I have more energy.
Victoria says
My head is too full from information from BEECH retreat to set goals this week. I decided to take the week off and just ponder on all I learned and then on the weekend set some concrete goals on paper for Snail Pace Transformations based on all I learned. Then I will think about home keeping and personal goals again next week.
Crystal says
That sounds like a good plan to me!
Jennt says
Thank you for the motivation to get back on the purposeful track. I fell off after having a baby and my husband deploying and am just now feeling ambitious enough to set some goals past eat and sleep ha ha.
Great job on your week!
Carol@simple_catholic says
Late getting my goals up, but better late than never. 🙂
I’m really impressed with all the speaking you do, Crystal. I’m not sure I would be able to speak in front of a lot of people at conferences like you do. I’m barely making it through my speech class for my degree!
Crystal says
Last year, the first 7 or 8 times totally freaked me out. But as I’ve kept doing it, it’s getting easier and easier… and I’m starting to really love it!
Brenda Weatherly says
I am trying to learn not to over-plan and “goal-ify” my week or else I will feel like I’m always behind!
Frugalista says
My goal for this week is to take care of myself, watch what I eat and go to the gym. For many years, I became an after thought in my life and I let myself go physically. I’m taking it one week at a time because changing old habits have proven to be difficult. I’m not giving up!
Sandy says
I have 2 goals this week….getting my house together and ordering scrubs for my new job! I got a job! I got a job! Wooohooo!
Crystal says
WOOHOO!!!!! So excited for you!
Sandy says
Thanks! Yet another prayer request I placed on my List for the Lord answered!
Molly says
Traveling always eats up more time and *energy* than I think it will!
I really do love your freezer cooking posts and I always look forward to them; you’ve kept me in suspense all week! 🙂
Shelly says
You really were able to get so much done this past week along with speaking at the Beech retreat.
I just had family visiting last week and a doctor appointment and it seemed hard to keep up with everything. Hope you have a great week.
Chelsea says
Yay, I was *so* hoping you’d be coming to my maps group. I’m excited to hear what you have to say! 🙂
Crystal says
Looking forward to seeing you, Chelsea!
Nicole says
How does your family like Vinegar Boy? My brother and I listened to it on a local Christian radio station years ago when we lived in the States. We enjoyed it, but I’d forgotten about it since then! I’ll have to find a copy of it.
Crystal says
Honestly, the kids are finding it a little dry, but I’m loving it.
Tammy Skipper (@Tammy_Skipper) says
You still amaze me at all you accomplish even when you miss your goals. I love seeing what happens in real life, glad you share with us every week.
Crystal says
Thanks so much for your kind encouragement!
Fashion & Frugality says
Love the accountability! One of the best ways for me to stay on track is making a daily to do list. It really helps me to stay focused and not forget or neglect things that need immediate attention. Thanks so much for all you do! Hope you have a great day~
Michelle Murphy says
Thanks so much for posting your goals and menus etc. I have been faithfully doing them along with you and it had REALLY helped get me motivated and do better. It may seem like a small thing for you to do, but it is HUGE for me.
Crystal says
I’m so proud of you — and thank you so much for your kind encouragement!
Jenny says
It looks like you spent a lot of time celebrating Kathrynne’s birthday and connecting with many new people at the seminar you spoke at so I’d still call last week a complete success even without some goals like the scarf and freezer cooking getting done!
Crystal says
You’re so kind! And you are right. It wasn’t “productive” in the sense of me crossing things off the list, but it was productive in that I had some wonderful and memorable time with Kathrynne and some special time with dear people at BEECH — and those things are much more important than the to-do list anyway. 🙂
Thank you for helping to remind me of what matters most!
