My family saves a lot by getting haircuts at a discount chain instead of a pricey salon. Haircuts used to cost between $25 and $45. Now we pay less than half that price, and we don’t see any difference in the quality. There are many lower priced chains depending upon where you live–Headcutters, Supercuts, Lemon Tree.
I don’t know if anyone else experienced it, but I had a dropdown list that didn’t go away because I didn’t want to subscribe – it’s a shame, I would have loved to have read your suggestions.
Hmm, so sorry about that! It didn’t happen for me. Maybe try again in a different browser?
Buy used. Gladly accept hand-me-downs. Have less. Always pack lunches (or snacks for kids) when going places. Buy in bulk when you can. Don’t dye your hair (or at least that could be my excuse for all my gray hair 😉 ). Make do with what you have. Don’t go to the mall or stores unless you have to – seeing “stuff” makes me want to buy it. I’m sure there are more things we do to save money, but some are so automatic for us that I don’t always recognize them as money-saving ideas. You are always great at sharing ideas for saving money. I’m always trying to come up with more ways to live on less and save more.
Shop consignment sales for kids clothes!
You always have such great ideas, Crystal! Just today, I posted an article about envelope savings ideas. You’re the best!
Thanks for your kind encouragement!
