Free printable: Goal-setting for Kids

by Crystal on January 02, 2013

Jenae from I Can Teach My Child put together a free Goal-Setting for Kids Printable.

This was our first year of encouraging Kathrynne (7) to set goals and it sparked some great conversations about the importance of setting goals and how to make them measurable and realistic.

Thank you for sharing the printable! My children have been setting goals for the past two years. They range in age from 17 -2, we also have 9mo twins. We actually had a family meeting last night to finalize their goals for the year. Your right, goal setting with children certainly sparks some interesting conversation. It also allows us (parents) to really see their hearts! It was also interesting to see them bring up somethings I had on my heart for them to learn to do, stop doing or accomplish.

Even greater was seeing them accomplish their goals for last year! Again, thanks for sharing.

I’m excited about this one. I’ve just now been having some conversations with my children about goals. I have been prompting my 13yo to work daily toward her goals. She had some I didn’t know about, and now I can be an encourager to her in this way.

I love this idea for kids! My husband and I created a “prayer board” or can also be called a dream/goal board, and I would love to see what it would look like in a kids’ version. You can check out the board on JamyeSack.com.
