Homemade Pizza in Less Than 30 Minutes

I’m trying some Make-Ahead Breakfasts this week, since we’re going to be having a more relaxed schedule near the end of the week as Christmas is just around the corner. It’s always fun to enjoy a more leisurely breakfast — and that calls for something a little extra special. I’ll let you know how the recipes turn out!

We’re also having guests for lunch twice this week, so that means we get to have a little upgrade in lunches from the typical PB&J fare two of the days. :) Here’s our plan for the week:

Simple dinners are on our menu this week as I am trying to finish up my holiday baking.

Wow! Those chocolate peanut butter cookie bars look wonderful! Do you plan to make them somewhat healthy or are you cooking them according to the recipe? No judgment in that question (I’d definitely like them as is!), I’m just curious. I seriously love sweetened condensed milk but wondered if there’s something else to use?

    • Crystal December 17, 2012 at 09:40 pm

I’m planning to make them as is as I happen to have a can of sweetened condensed milk in my pantry!

      • Tara H December 17, 2012 at 09:46 pm

Hehe. I happen to have more than one can in my pantry! ;)

  • Karly December 17, 2012 at 09:39 pm

Thank you for including my Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars! :)

    • Crystal December 17, 2012 at 09:45 pm

Oh my goodness, Karly. I just looked at your recipe … and do you want to be my new best friend?! Seriously, YUM!!

      • Karly December 18, 2012 at 09:17 am

Haha! Yes! I can always use an extra BFF or two! :)

There are only 3 pumpkin cinnamon rolls left! :)

This week it’s all about the Pinto around here. Although that was sort of an accident.

I threatened to break out the free sample box of hamburger helper but no one believed I would actually do it.

The pumpkin french toast looks amazing! I’m going to have to try that recipe! Your pictures look amazing too Crystal! It looks like you are having fun with your camera and editing. I think the photography part of blogging is a ton of fun. :)

Thanks so much for the pizza dough receipe, I’ve been thinking of making my own and it was just the push I needed to finally go for it. As for tomato pizza sauce – do you use store bought or homemade? If store bought, which brand does your family prefer?

    • Crystal December 18, 2012 at 07:43 am

We often use salsa or barbecue sauce instead of pizza sauce. If I do use pizza sauce, I use spaghetti sauce since I can typically get a jar of that for $0.50/jar or less by pairing sales with coupons.

It’s new recipes and leftovers around here. The first new recipe yesterday was only okay.
    Here’s my plan.

  • Laura December 18, 2012 at 12:53 pm

Would love to know what frugal (or maybe not?) is on the menu for the Office Christmas Party! :) I always spend more than I want in those situations!

    • Crystal December 18, 2012 at 01:47 pm

We’re just meeting at a local restaurant with all the law firm staff. Simple and easy! :)

  • Michelle @ Willing Cook December 20, 2012 at 07:55 am

Our food allergy menu this week also includes a great recipe for Savory Pork Medallions with Peppers & Apples. The flavors were perfectly matched and it was pretty easy to whip up. It would also be good with chicken.
