I should have known better. I really, really should have.
But I got suckered in by the video posted on Facebook.
The gal made it look so amazingly easy and simple. And I figured that even me — the non-fashionista who pretty much only has three hairstyles in her repertoire — could pull it off.
Boy, was I wrong!
I’m absolutely sure that Brittney from Brittslook wasn’t trying to mislead us. I’m sure she is an incredibly lovely person. And I’m pretty certain it probably was a case of user error on my part.
But the experiment went awfully, pathetically wrong.
I almost took a picture of the frizzy, crazy, sticking-out-in-all-wrong-places mess my hair came out as, but then I realized that it might frighten young children and break some computer screens.
Because there are just some things that are so awful, that once seen, they can’t be unseen.
Yes, it was B-A-D. Very, very bad.
Suffice it to say, I should probably keep my hair far, far away from all foil and electric hair straighteners in the future. Or at least anything that involves the two of them together and my hair.
Experimentation Can Be a Good Thing
As I was lamenting to Jesse about this major hair fail and how I wasted 30 minutes of my life that I would never be able to get back again, he looked on the bright side instead and said, “Well, at least you know it didn’t work.”
And he’s right. I think it’s so important for us to remember that time invested into experimentation isn’t necessarily wasted time.
It’s good to try new things on occasion. It’s good to not get so stuck in a rut that we’re not open to seeing if another method or strategy would serve our families better. And if it doesn’t work, you can always go back to what you were already doing.
But Ultimately, Do What Works For You
In addition, this hair fail is a great example of how what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another. Just like each of us has unique hair and different styles and techniques and products work differently depending upon our hair texture and length and weight, so the same is true in many other areas of our life.
Your friend might have discovered a solution that works beautifully for her, but it just doesn’t work at all for you. Don’t feel badly about that.
Every family is different. Every person is different. We all have unique needs, struggles, and capacity. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses.
Some of us are really great with managing money. Some of us struggle with it. Some of us are really amazing at juggling a lot of responsibilities. Some of us can only do one or a few things at a time.
Some of us are incredibly gifted when it comes to decorating or cooking or gardening or crafting or, yes, fixing hair. Some of us just aren’t talented in these areas. And that’s totally okay.
Keep experimenting. Keep trying new things. Keep learning from others. Keep being inspired by others. But at the end of the day, do what works for you and your family and don’t worry if it’s completely different than what works for others.
Just for fun: Have you ever had a hair fail or other online tutorial fail? Please tell me I’m not alone! {And if you have a tried and true hair tutorial that you think a complete non-fashionista like me can actually pull off, please leave the link in the comments. Because I need all the help I can get! :)}
I wish I could find a blogger who is over 50 and how to do makeup and hair at that age.
I tried the tumeric face mask. Went on fine but the next day my child’s teacher asked me why her face was orange and my 70 year old mom had to get the little white hairs around her face cut off because the orange color wouldn’t wash off! Next time I will only try my experiments on one person at a time instead of the whole family!
One time I saw a picture of a Bob I loved. Got my hair cut to that length and it didn’t look the same. My hair was way too thick and naturally didn’t look the same. Wasn’t into thinning it since I also love to do single or twin braids. I just let it grow back out. It turns out when my hair is past shoulder length it starts to wave and it helps weigh my hair down so it’s not always in my face. I’m a fan of wavy and curly hair so I prefer it. Plus long hair makes my large bust look smaller.
This article is my life this week. Destination wedding + daughter is flower girl = mom does her hair? That’s the boat I am in right now. I had a big fat fail yesterday with trying to curl her hair with no heat and just twisting it. Her beautiful naturally wavy hair came out like the before pictures for the frizz serum commercials. I am trying the sock bun today. I just don’t want to waste time and money on a hair salon that may or may not do a good job on a fidgety toddler’s hair. And so no those YouTube vids don’t always work.
Get curlformers. I got the generic off ebay (pink and orange colored). I have long hair that will not hold salon curls for more than an hour before going flat. I get my mom to put these in the night before (a little damp with mouse) and sleep in them and boom! Gorgeous spiral curls that hold their shape. That’s one video that actually worked for me!
Just this past Saturday I cut our 2 year old son’s hair with clippers for the first time. I had a plan: start long and gradually go shorter… But then I read a “professional’s” tutorial on Pinterest. After all, she is the professional AND she had pictures! So I went against my gut… and shed a few tears afterward. So short. Too short. Pinterest fail.
Laughing at all the failed attempts! “Cause, seriously, sisters! I have them, too!!! I tried the hair tut that said to twist your hair sections and slowly run the flat iron over the twists to get nice curls. Um.Yeah.Right. I tried this, not when I had nowhere to go, but, with only minutes to spare, before church. MmmHmm. I went to church sporting the Johnny Depp/Captain Jack dreds look. Oh and did I mention that it fried the crap out of my one length hair? Yup. Now I’m growing out all the broken off, damaged hair. Yay me. LOL
I love your heart 🙂
So glad to hear I’m not the only person who has failed at this beauty stuff!
Experimentation is good. You never know, it may have turned out great and the answer to all your problems.
I thought the tinfoil would be expensive to do all the time, but OK for a special event.
The one tool that helped my fine and straight hair is a good quality salon curling iron. They do work better. I think it’s better wiring to the heating elements to heat the iron all over. More money up front, but saves time and money over the years of use.
This was not hair relayed but fails. SO I bought all the ingredients for homemade detergent. We have a family of 5 so I figured if this works great money saving discovery. So I mix up my detergent and test it out honestly people how can you say this, works my clothes smell like I washed them in the creek without soap… ok maybe I picked the wrong recipe. But it gets better… so now I want to figure out what to do with all this borax… I look it u. It cleans everything in the house if you ask the internet… wood floors ..fail…. carpet cleaner…huge mess…fail… stove top…fail… so let’s make gack… also a fail. Unless you like your chuldren getri g little pieces of soft rubbery glitter glue mess all lover the kitchen then by all means do this little experiment. So frustrated with the borax I turn to giant bubbles.corn syrup since we don’t have glycerine right…wrong. So I have decided I will save money by buying the stuff the market has already tested, that way if it fails I can at least return it to the store.
If you are looking for easy curls with no heat, the sock bun is the way to go. All you need is the cuff of a sock. You can sleep in it as well for beautiful curls the next day.

I did a milk/gelatin pore mask. First, it’s easy to add too much milk, so be careful. Thirdly, if you don’t apply it thick enough, it won’t work. Sixth and lastly, the mask smells faintly of vomit. And, to conclude, the right application does remove clogs from pores as well as every little hair on the face. Apparently I have an inordinately hairy face because I looked sunburned. Honestly. Still, one expects the first time to be awkward.
Oh thank you Jesus. I thought I was the only hairy faced freak. Parts hurt like a momma. I had many choice words.
Yes, I have had this happen. Unfortunately I tried the “Trim your own hair” video. I went from below the shoulders wavy hair to some reverse mullet deal. Thank God for walk-in salons. I now sport a nice bob. My days of watching do it yourself beauty videos are over.
Here is what I attempted to do.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Cw5HH5z3z4o
Yikes!!
Back-combing. The end. 🙁
It’s taken me several, several, SEVERAL tries, but I’m FINALLY getting the hang of curling my hair with a flat iron, and getting those nice spiral-ly curls everyone has and I covet lol.
But I tried the twisting and pinning, and twisting and flat ironing, and a few cooking hacks. “Stand the cold butter on end and microwave on high seven minutes” she said. “Turn it over to the other end and go another seven and you’ll get perfectly softened butter”, she said. NO! What I got was an empty butter package standing in a pool of nuclear temperature boiling butter which was also splattered all over the microwave. :/ And I burned my finger trying to get the bowl out of the microwave. D: BUT, if you stand a frozen stick of butter on end and nuclear reactor–I mean microwave on 20% power for THREE minutes, turn over and go another minute or so, THAT works. I just can’t believe I’m such a sadist I went in for round two.
Yeah, sometimes tutorials end up being bad life lessons, or at least cautionary tales.
This worked GREAT on my granddaughter’s hair. We even did this for her school pics.
For perfect room temp butter, just cut the stick into individual pats around the tablespoon mark. Swear on my life, it takes fresh-from-the-fridge butter to room temp in under a minute!
7-10 SECONDS, lol!!! That’s works!
This worked great for my fine, straight hair! Waves galore, will use again. Bummer not so much for you!! Only hair fail I remember is “Sun In”….lol 70’s? or 80’s? All I can say is orange.
I have tons of frizzy icky hair and I tried this but used a heat protectant spray. Took me about 7 minutes and worked amazing. My naturally frizzy, uncontrollable, curly hair actually had real and pretty curls. I don ‘t know if this mattered either but I had foil that is usually used for foil frosting hair. Maybe that also made a difference. I also used larger chunks of hair than what is pictured but did have to spread it flatter and thinner before heating. A be it worked because of ALL the things I did?? It was so worth it. I wear my hair in s frosting r enchanting twist everyday. This was so nice and easy and I felt like I had beautiful long blond hair for a change.
thanks to the wonderful thing called Pinterest I have had SOOOO many fails on beauty tutorials! I tried a face mask the literally burned my face! I looked like I had a sunburn for a few days! I learned (after about 20 times of trying) not to trust any of the “easy overnight curls” tutorials! They never work for me! I have only found 1 curl tutorial that actually works for my hair but it takes forever so I only do it on special occasions!
You live and learn!!
One time I followed a tutorial online that said to cut your own hair, just put your feet shoulder width apart, hang your head upside down and cut a straight line across. Bad, very bad results. Thank God for those $5.99 haircut places who saved the rest of the world from seeing the results of this mishap. I have never attempted to cut my own hair since! My dh has trimmed the back for my in a pinch. I would never try any new hair tutorial/do when I had to leave anytime soon! You live and you learn!
I saw that tutorial on FB and kept wondering how it was quicker than a curling iron or hot rollers. I have stick straight hair baby fine hair so any kind of curl takes a lot of product, time and lots of heat. For a beauty blogger that has tutorials that are simple, try Kate at http://www.thesmallthingsblog.com. She’s a former hair stylist and her tutorials are easy to follow.
I love how we can be reminded of valuable life lessons through everyday life!
Thanks for sharing, Crystal!
We tried it on my daughter’s beautiful, straight long, thick, medium coarse hair. We did it on one side of her head and the flat iron on the other side. I much prefer using the flat iron for how easy it is. It also did tighter curls. However, one of the reasons we did both was to see which lasted longer. The foil last longer much longer.
At first glance I saw the foil, and I thought you must have tried highlighting your hair! Glad it was just a bad curl job. ; ) This actually looks complicated to me, but then again, I’m not very good with hair. My daily style is a bun.
I’ve tried doing sock bun curls from an it’s-so-easy tutorial. My hair ends up, I guess, kinda wavy, but definitely not bouncy curls! And I’ve tried those noodle looking curlers overnight, and ended up with curls that last a little while. The tutorial said they last for 3 days!!! Mine might have lasted 3 hours. lol! The texture and thickness of everyone’s hair varies so much. Or maybe they used a whole can of hairspray?!
I admit I’ve been cutting my own hair. I watched lots of tutorials. Some were downright hilarious, some were helpful. I have pretty long hair(I just cut 2 inches off and it’s still almost to my waist.), and I always start small. I would never just hack off a bunch…like I’ve seen in those hilariously dumb tutorials! lol But I totally understand that it’s not for everyone, especially those with short hair. If I ever do shorter hair again, I’m not sure I’ll do it myself. Long hair is definitely more forgiving!
At least it was just a hair style and not a hair cut!
I was not so lucky. 🙁
http://thenonconsumeradvocate.com/let-me-be-your-cautionary-tale-of-frugality-gone-too-far/
I tried this to. There was no coming back. My hair fell out where I tried it!
Oh yikes!!! I guess it could have been worse!
Not a hair fail, but I was just thinking about something similar to this this morning as I was trimming my own bangs. I’ve been cutting my own hair for a couple years now and even recently ventured into cutting my own side bangs – all based off tutorials I’ve found online. I know that not everyone is into cutting their own hair, and the main reason I think I’m fine with it is because I’m totally fine experimenting! Yes, even with my hair! 🙂
I’m able to attempt cutting my own hair because I realistically know that it could go horribly wrong…but that if it does, that I can always put it in a ponytail until I can see a professional to fix it. It’s also helps having long hair so going short is always a viable option if a DIY haircut is ever truly horrendous. So far though, I’ve managed to do a decent enough job.
This sounds a lot like my experience with fancy hair tutorials. Now, I just keep it simple. Not exciting, I know, but also a huge time saver for me, and not an epic fail.
I have had a few epic hair tutorial fails, but for the most part, I think the fault is my own, not the tutorial. If I try and replicate a hairstyle from someone who has a completely different hair texture, length, color, etc, it is not going to turn out the same. I have a lot of wispy hairs, my hair is prone to frizz, my hair has natural curl, I have super long hair(waist length) and certain up do styles are too heavy for my head, bobby pins don’t stay in my hair, and my scalp an be a bit sensitive. All these things lead to a lot of tutorials not working for me, no matter how great the tutorial is. I still experiment some( I am loving all sorts of braids!) but I also trust things that i know work for me.
I love this! Thanks for sharing. You are not the only one. I try things all the time that don’t work out. Better than never trying, right? And I, too, have a very practical husband who reminds me failures are not the end of the world. I like him.
This made me laugh out loud! There’s really nothing I can do about my kinky, does-its-own-thing hair. You straight-haired girls have all the fun 🙂
this one actually worked well on my daughter’s hair but it seemed like a waste of perfectly good foil and it took longer than just using a curling iron. Not a fail for us, but I probably won’t do it again. 😉
Amazingly, this tin foil experiment did work for me. My hair will not hold a curl….until I tried this and the curls lasted ALL day! It is a bit time consuming but for a special event totally worth it!
You should have taken a picture and submitted it to the blog pintrocity! If you haven’t checked out their blog you should!
My daughter has very long hair, and the foil method worked! I was so skeptical, but i was shocked at how awesome it looked. I tried it on myself- FAIL! My hair isn’t that long or thick, though. I’d think this would work best on long, thick hair because the hair pulls down on the beautiful curls. Sorry it didn’t work for you, I know the feeling! LOL
Hey, at least it didn’t involve cutting. I tried cutting my own hair last June and wasn’t able to get somewhere to get it cut for…a really long time. I ended up having to live with it for two months!!
How about trying Rag Curls (a simple Google search found heaps of tutorials)? It was something I did as a kid at Girl Guides. Your daughters would love it! (Depending on how curly their hair is naturally). It is not super stylish but it’s fun to have old-timey curls. Maybe you could find a book to read that is along the theme – Anne of Green Gables or similar, where rag curls and home hair treatments (Anne dyes her hair green instead of the promised black – she bought the dye from a door to door salesman) were all people had a chance to do. Or Little Women maybe?
I actually tried this one and I thought it worked so well for me. Getting the foils on was a little tricky but heating them went so quick and I liked the results 🙂
Oh this makes me laugh! I actually bought a box of foil papers (really cheap on amazon) with the intent of trying this on both my daughters’ long hair! Haven’t had the time yet and now I wonder if I should even try it! Our best hair curling method by far (not exciting enough to be posted on the internet) is rolling slightly damp hair up in soft thin socks and sleeping on them all night! Best longest lasting curls EVER (thanks Mom). Yes I agree a pic would’ve been fun to see!
I clicked on this hoping for a pic! Lol. I agree with others, check out The Small Things blog. I love Kate’s hair! I’ve tried a couple things and they haven’t been disasters, so that’s a plus. 🙂 although it isn’t really fair cuz she has amazing hair to start with!
I did the foil thing with my daughter’s hair and it worked well. She has really thin fine hair though.
As a professional hair stylist I can honestly say that the only time I would put foil in hair is if I were highlighting it! And given all the time she spent twisting her hair up into the foil and heating it, anyone could have just as easily used a curling wand or iron to add waves to their hair. We women can be so silly about our vanity!
I once saw a tutorial about using coconut oil to moisturize your hair. You had to put on the coconut oil and put a plastic bag over your hair for 30 minutes. Let’s just say that my hair was so greasy that it constantly looked wet for 3 days. Not the moisturized look I was going for.
I did this and it worked great. I Washed it twice after leaving it in for about an hour.
I tried this, too, and loved it. The blogger stressed that washing twice was imperative.
I washed it five or six times. I probably put too much on. It definitely did not work for me.
Goodness, that should definitely be enough! My hair can be naturally oily so I used a very small amount.
After the time my sister tried highlighting my hair with a cap and I looked like a skunk, there were no more at home experiments for me!
However, I have been cutting my boys’ hair for a few years and have found fantastic tips on pinterest and you tube. And I get TONS of compliments on their “trendy, salon looking hair” 😉
My little girl is a late bloomer with hair – she’s two and still has hardly any. But I’ve been practicing cute bang-side braids and such on me for when she finally has hair. I can hardly wait!
Would you mind sharing some of those videos or where I can access them? I’ve tried looking as I’ve been cutting my boys hair since they were 2, but very basic. Whenever I’ve tried to give them a different look, per their request- well it’s been a disaster. Now that they are teens I know they want a more cool look so I’ve been giving in taking them to get it cut. But I’d really like to go back to doing it myself. Thanks!
This is so funny because I did exactly the same thing! I totally understand. It really did look simple, so I don’t know where I went wrong. But it WAS terribly, terribly wrong.
I found a GREAT You Tube video for styling my hair. I got a pixie cut like Ginnifer Goodwin but then I didn’t know what to do with it and this was a good video. I use what she showed me and it works! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9h64mfeQxY
I was in a hair rut also. Then I found Kate from thesmallthingsblog.com. I PROMISE you can do her hair tutorials. They have given me versatility & fun in doing my hair. Go check it out.
Oh, thanks so much for the tip!
I was really hoping for a pic! LOL Thanks for trying this for the rest of us! I was tempted!
Many years ago, long before the Internet, I went to a beauty salon to get a perm. A came away with a strong resemblance to Ronald McDonald. It was awful and took months to grow out.
While it is always a good idea to go with one’s strengths, I so think a lot of people going into watching tutorial videos with apprehension, and that may be partly the reason some things may not go as planned; nervousness and preconceived notions, etc. I did however wish that this young woman would have been addressed simply as Brittney from such-and-such blog, in lieu of being called “gal,” just as you would want to be quoted as Crystal, from MSM.
I didn’t realize that she had a blog, but I just discovered that she does. Here’s her Facebook Page for those who are interested: https://www.facebook.com/brittslook
{Thanks for mentioning that! I’ve updated the post!}
I tried oh so many online hair tutorials in an effort to get some wave in my stick-straight hair. They all failed (one in a horribly frizzy, finger-in-the-light-socket way that you seem to have experienced).
Now I do this: I wash my hair at night and let it air dry about 85%. Then I add a little product: mousse, spray gel, whatever, just something that’s supposed to help the curl hold. I flip my head over and twist my hair into a bun by gathering it into a ponytail and twisting it until it twists around itself and wraps in a bun. I use a regular hair tie to secure the bun on top of my head and I go to sleep.
In the morning when I take it down, not only does my hair have a decent amount of curl, it also has volume on top. The curl and the body are both things I had decided my hair could never achieve and both last most of the day.
I do almost the same thing, except I wash my hair/put it in a bun in the morning and wear the bun all day and night. I almost always wear my stick straight hair down, so doing this gives me something different for two days. 🙂
I do this too, Abby! (Without hair product though) Have done so for years when I want a curlier look. It never fails for me. Takes 2 minutes at the most and my wait time occurs while I’m sleeping! Love it!
A friend shared this on Facebook, saying, “It works!” But this person already has curly hair.
It wouldn’t even cross my mind to give that method a try. It looked way too complicated and I didn’t feel like cutting up so much foil.
I tried a tutorial on how to do an “easy” up do. It did not work at all and looked awful so I wet down my hair, put scrunching gel in and went about my day. Lol
I can’t get my Tupperware clean from spaghetti sauce. I think I tried everything on Pinterest. Oh well, I guess we will just live with stained Tupperware.
Try a paste of baking soda and Dawn dishsoap. It works!
My gramma taught me to pour a little bleach in the water when washing tupperware and it will make the spaghetti stains come right off.
I put some of my stained cutting boards out on the back deck on a very sunny day. They look brand new after a few hours!
I learned to cut my own hair in long layers from a Youtube video. I did it the first time with some trepidation, and wasn’t sure how I felt about the results initially, but after some tweaking of the technique, I’ve cut my own hair several times this way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcja5wH8YFM
I saw the same video in my FB stream. I was thinking about trying it but I don’t have a straightening iron, since my hair is stick straight already. I know sometimes things like this will work for one person but not for the next. I usually don’t even try to curl my hair anymore. It takes forever to do and the curls last maybe an hour tops. I think it takes me as long to curl my hair as it lasts.
I have found that by rolling my damp hair in rags and sleeping on it makes for a nice curl, that last for me about half a day. And it only takes a few extra minutes before bed.
Sorry the experiment didn’t work for you.
So, did the experiment fail because you modified it like you always do for recipes? 😉
😉 Haha! I actually think I followed it just as shown… but I could have twisted them up wrong or not left them in long enough or had the wrong foil or… who knows?! I should probably just stick with ponytails. 🙂
In an effort to save money since I already cut my husband’s hair, I tried to follow a tutorial on how to give yourself a layered haircut. It didn’t work, it was bad, and involved a lot of me standing in front of the sink trying to “fix” it. Now I keep my hair long and either have my mom cut my hair or visit a salon 1-2 times per year.
Oh my, did this involve pulling your hair up into a ponytail on top of your head first? Cause if so, I “may” have done this one as well and it “may” have been a total disaster. Unfortunately I was too cheap to get it fixed professionally and there are pictures of my sad, sad hair at a wedding I attended!
I used to cut my hair that way, and loved it! Mostly I loved it because it wasn’t “perfect” but I always got compiments on it. 🙂
I cut my hair that way all the time and it works great for me. Everyone thinks I have a stylist for my layers. But I could see it not working for everyone. Same as this video, Im sure it was great for some and awful for others.
I tried this once. And then I had to fix it. And then my fix needed fixing. It was sooooo sad.
I did that one and it worked so well that no one believed my hubby cut my hair! Goes to show how different hair responds so very differently. :/
I use this method as well, with the ponytail on the head and all 🙂 For me, it works really well but this may be because I have wavy hair so it doesn’t matter if the hair cut is not totally perfect.
You NEED to check out Kate at The Small Things Blog!! She gives excellent video tutorials!
http://www.thesmallthingsblog.com/
I was going to suggest the same blog! We have found some great styles on her blog, and they are even doable for a hair-impaired girl like me. 🙂
I personally haven’t tried this tutorial yet, but i have been wanting to. My friend did try this and it looked AMAZING on her hair, I was actually really surprised. I thought it was almost to good to be true. I am a person with long thin hair. When I put my hair in a ponytail it is about a inch and a half in diameter. (My friends hair kinda similar) I can see this being a nice easy fix for myself since I do not have a TON of hair. BUT LADIES it does work for some!! I liked this article though. No time is really wasted when your learning something new.
This made me laugh. Something I would do.
I found a tutorial on cutting hairs. It seems so simply and at the end the girl has her hair as I would like to. But till now I did not have the courage to try and your post makes me think that it is better to forget about it 🙂
I tried the very experiment you did. Yes, major fail. I’ll go back to my old standbys too.
I am so uncoordinated, that I can’t even attempt to follow a hair tutorial.
That being said, I know of two fashion and beauty bloggers who are exceptional at teaching: https://www.youtube.com/user/K8bryan that’s the youtube channel of Kate Bryan, a former hairdresser turned stay at home mom/beauty blogger. She’s very patient and doesn’t do a lot of gimmicky tutorials.
Karen at https://www.youtube.com/user/makeupandbeautyblog has really great tutorials too and she’s really funny and sweet. More makeup than hair.
Love Kate’s blog!!
My daughter found a tutorial on how to curl your hair with paper bags. Not a major fail but certainly not a winner. Live and learn! At least your hair didn’t break off or fall out 🙂
Oh, my Nanny (my grandmother) used to roll her and all the girls’ hair on paper bags. I remember it looking great. What great memories!
We always used strips of old sheets… kinda painful to sleep on, but it worked so well!
I’m thinking maybe we should include HOW MANY hair fails. More than I care to remember and sadly some at the hands of trained beauticians. If you have a great beautician, tip her well! She is worth it.
I only tried one hair tutorial and it did not involve anything I couldn’t fix with washing and starting over. 🙂
Pretty sure I will NEVER try anything that can’t be fixed by just washing and starting over.
However, I DID used to cut my hair. But I look back on pictures of when I did so and wonder what on earth I was thinking! 😉
Funny. When I saw the video, I wondered how it was quicker. But then again, I’ve worn my hair in a pony tail for the last 30 years of my life
You and me can be ponytail twins! 🙂
I specifically keep my very thick hair long so I DON’T have to do it. Get out of the shower, wrap it in a twist and stick a hair stick in it. Literally 30 seconds and I am done.
