I made the twisted pizza breadsticks today, and my kids LOVED them. I made 2 lbs of pizza dough in the bread machine (added onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, and basil) and seasoned a can of tomato sauce with the same spices as above. They were wonderful! I greased a cookie sheet and froze the rest of the unbaked sticks. When they are frozen, I will pull them off the cookie sheet and freeze in a zip-lock bag. That way I can take out as many as I want for after school snacks or lunches. Thanks for the great idea!

The Twisted Pizza Breadsticks look amazing! They would make a great snack to keep in the freezer. How would you recommend storing them? Wrapped individually?
Our menu this week;

I’m ready for a warm-up (it’s been cold in our area)! This week I’m utilizing the grill as much as possible! Here’s our menu! Your meatloaf recipe looks tasty! http://womenwithintention.com/meal-plan-monday-27/

I’ve made pizza breadsticks before and pizza pinwheels. They turned out really good. I need to do a little more freezer cooking other than 5 loaves of bread each week, our freezer meals are a getting a little low. Well, all except for chicken dishes.
I’m making skillet dishes and slow cooker dishes this week since the weather is going to heat up. Here’s my menu plan with some recipe links too. http://www.frugalfamilyhome.com/food/menu/menu-plan-monday-may-12th

I’m so glad you posted your menu! I’ve missed seeing them. I’m always glad to see Gretchen’s weekly menus too. It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut, so it’s wonderful to glean new ideas and recipes from what others are making. 🙂
I hope Bridgette’s recipes appear again soon!
Crystal Paine says
Yes, Brigette should be back with recipes soon. She had a baby and their family recently moved, too, so she’s been a little busy with life and needed to take a break from writing here for a bit. 🙂
Charity says
Having five littles and another on the way, and just having moved across the country…I completely understand! 🙂 I look forward to her posts returning though 😉
Jennifer Hoffman says
Crystal did you buy the bread dough for the bread sticks or use your pizza dough recipe? So glad your menu plans are back!!
Crystal Paine says
I’m going to use my pizza dough recipe. 🙂
Jennifer Hoffman says
Perfect- I have some in the freezer! 🙂 will it require the equivalent of one or two crusts?
Jennifer Hoffman says
Also curious how you freeze the breadsticks?
Crystal Paine says
I’m planning to just bake and then freeze in a ziptop bag.

I think I may try those southwest roll ups. They sound good and I love food that can be frozen and pulled out on those busy days. You can find my Weekly Menu at

This is a great menu! I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks eating breadsticks for dinner is a good idea. Thanks so much for including my recipe!

Liz @ Wonder Woman I'm Not says
The brown sugar meatloaf looks really good. I’m keeping it pretty simple this week but am trying a new recipe for shrimp and scallops.
Here’s my menu for the week, thanks for the link up.
