As most of you know, my book, The Money Saving Mom®’s Budget, is releasing in January 2012. It’s the culmination of years of personally living frugally and simply and teaching others how to have a paradigm shift about money.
I’m more than a little excited about it (more like crazily ecstatic about it!) because I believe its message is direly needed, especially right now as so many people are struggling to make ends meet. I believe this book has the potential to radically change your budget–and your life!
The Money Saving Mom®’s Budget is a comprehensive step-by-step plan to take you from financial mess to financial success. In this straightforward book, you’ll learn:
::How to set big goals and break them down into bite-sized pieces.
::How to prioritize your time and life in order to live intentionally.
::How to streamline your home and life in order to have breathing room to work toward your financial goals.
::My three-step plan for going from no budget at all to a full-fledged, realistic, written budget.
::How to make a cash envelope system work for you.
::How to cut your grocery bill in half (including 25 ways to save money without using coupons!).
::How to save big on restaurants, travel, clothing, utility bills, prescription glasses, gym memberships, and much more.
::And finally, how to cultivate contentment, embrace today, and live a rich and full life, no matter your income.
You know what I’m most thrilled about in publishing this book? That all of my profits are going to Compassion International–an organization that helps to feed and clothe needy children around the globe.
Knowing that this book has the potential to not only change lives in our country, but to also give food, clean water, shelter, and clothing to those who are living in unimaginable circumstances, gave me so much purpose and excitement while writing. I’m humbled to be partnering with Compassion’s ministry to the poorest of the poor.

This is so exciting, Crystal! I filled out the form, but understand if I don’t “qualify”. 🙂 I’m sure I’ll be reading your book, and most likely promoting it, regardless.
And thank you for giving all the proceeds to Compassion. Not only is that great in and of itself, it’s such a good example for others like me. After reading Radical, I’m starting to see my family’s wealth (for we truly are wealthy by the world’s standards!) in a different light.

Thank you for the opportunity. I read a lot of books like this and I have actually been considering starting a series where I review some of those that I’ve read on my blog. I would love the opportunity to read yours. I was very excited to hear that you were writing one. Your site is one of the few that I have kept my email subscription for because she always have such great advice. I’m especially loving the freezer cooking in an hour. Sometimes I think you read my mind because its always stuff I’ve been wanting to do LOL.

Crystal, I’ve been following MSM almost from the beginning and I am so thrilled and happy that your message is getting wider circulation through the printed press. The fact that you are donating all of your profits to Compassion brings tears to my eyes. It makes me think of this quote:
There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. ~Edith Wharton
Thanks for sharing your light and helping others escape the bonds of debt (your readers) and poverty (Compassion) so that their lights may shine, too.

I definitely couldn’t have written this book without an amazing husband who believed in the project from the get-go and has been my biggest cheerleader. In addition, the MSM team and my team at S&S have been amazingly helpful and supportive throughout the entire process.

I know how you feel….I was ecstatic, humbled, and honored when you published a guest post I had submitted about consignment shopping/buying. That’s awesome! You should ask Dave Ramsey to autograph one of your books for you :). You’re a living, breathing, intentional example of how his system can work.
Katie says
Congratulations, Crystal! I know you must be so excited! I admire you for giving your profits to those it need. It can be difficult to look past the struggles in our lives to the true NEEDS in the lives of others.
I do have a question. I do not have a blog, but I am going to lead a money-saving class class at my church this fall (early winter at the latest?). I have had several people approach me about it, and it is something I feel led to do because we have people from all ages and walks of life in our church family. Should I fill out the survey, or is this not what you had in mind? If not, no worries, I can be patient until your book is released! I just know how much I’ve learned from your site, and I’m sure this book will be an even greater resource.
Thanks for all you do! Have a wonderful evening! 🙂
Emily says
I am so excited about your book! I can’t wait to read it when it comes out!!! 🙂
Crystal says
Thank you so much for sharing in my excitement!
Jessica Lynette says
I am excited about your book too – there are many fantastic books about goals, living intentionally, etc. but what I love is that you stand behind what you say – you live it – and it isn’t to say that other authors don’t, but having been the recipient of your kindness and seeing your heart and passion via your blog and knowing where you have decided to send the money the book earns it is exciting to know the history and solid foundation from which this book is coming from.
Crystal says
Thanks so very much for your kind encouragement!
Nicole says
