What’s on your menu this week? Tell us in the comments or leave a link to your menu plan post.
I’ll be attempting to cook lobster tails (from Kroger on Manager’s Special!!!) among other things.

Where do you go out to eat each week? Does it get expensive each week?
It depends, but we have a few restaurants we love — places like Cracker Barrel and Jason’s Deli. We also do Chili’s sometimes when they have Kid’s Eat Free. We have an Eating Out Budget envelope that we stick with.
Thanks for resonding! Love the eat out budget envelope. We need to do that.
My Grandma had the white Corning Wear bowls with the blue flowers like you have in your pictures. 🙂 Thanks for reminding me of some great meals and special times.
Crystal, I’ve noticed that you seem to serve the same foods over and over each week, especially for lunch, and was wondering if your family ever gets bored with eating the same thing all the time. I just never see anything like eggplant, snow peas, lentils or other veggies. Just wondering if you ever try other vegetables.
If I get a great deal on something different or out-of-the-ordinary, I often spring for it. It just depends upon what’s on sale and what clearance/mark-downs I find. 🙂
O.K. I guess since we’re getting our second round of eggplant from our garden is what made me think of it.
It’s been hot here in Columbus OH, plus we’re all under the weather due to the ragweed / hay fever season.
Sunday- we grilled pork spare ribs. Then when my DH put the grill away, he accidentally bumped the “on” knob for the gas. An hour later, I opened the door to the garage to put some recycling in the bin. (we keep the propane grill in our attached garage). There was a strong smell of gas. I shut the door and hollered to DH. He came and opened the windows and shut off the gas. SCARY!!!
Monday- I used the leftover pork to make pork fried rice
Today- breakfast for dinner
Wednesday- spaghetti, bread, meatballs (all homemade safe for the noodles)
Thursday- grilled cheese
Friday- homemade pizza
Saturday- we’ll grill again. And double check that the gas is off before closing the garage door!!!
Here’s this week’s meal plan:
Su: Mexican Stuffed Shells
M: Shepherd’s Pie
T: Cornflake Chicken with broccoli and brown rice
W: Crockpot Beef Roast with potatoes and roasted carrots
Th: Crockpot Buffalo Chicken with salads
F: Crockpot Hot Sausage Sandwiches
Sa: White Pizza
Yum!
I’m curious. You made the crockpot refried beans last week, but you aren’t making the bean and cheese burritos til this week. What do you do with the refried beans during that time? Isn’t it easier to just make them as soon as the beans are done rather than storing the beans?
I made them on Saturday evening and made the burritos tonight — so I just stored them in the fridge in the mean time.
I Love doing Breakfast for Dinner! My husband wasn’t too sure of it when we got married, but now he loves it just as much as I do!
Here is what’s cooking at my house this week:

Have a delicious week!
We are eating from the pantry and freezer this week! http://www.everydayhomecook.com/2013/09/weekly-menu-plan-sept-8-sept-14/
Looks yum. For our family my husband and I decided to up the budget and make more healthier options and get back on track with Fish, Roasted Vegetables, and homemade granola: http://www.elenisavesu.com/2/post/2013/09/new-healthy-routine-menu-plan-this-week.html
Those oatmeal cookies sound wonderful. I’m going to add those to my list too.
Here’s my menu. It’s a simple one:

I’m anxious to see how you like the blueberry muffins you’re planning on trying for your freezer cooking this week. I found that recipe on allrecipes a while ago and tried it – in my opinion they were far from “to die for”!
Here’s our menu plan for the week:

There are a lot of doubled recipes (as I see you’re also doing :)) and slow cooker meals.
What kind of mac and cheese do you eat for lunch? I just can’t picture you guys eating Kraft mac and cheese. 🙂
Annie’s — we’re big fans of it! 🙂
I need to make some burritos for the freezer. Just the other night my husband was looking for a snack and wanted a burrito, but we were all out. So I need to add burritos to my freezer cooking list.
This week is going to be a warm week so our meals are mostly stovetop or grilled meals,

I did a bunch of freezer cooking this week – in addition to processing 20 lbs of plums. It feels great getting meals in the freezer. Of course, I already veered from our menu yesterday because I was so sick of cooking (and it was to warm for chili) so we ended up ordering pizza 🙂

We did breakfast for dinner tonight – you got to love such a simple meal! Here’s our menu for the week

We’re supposed to have some more hot weather (ugh!) this week, so I planned out some meals that I can make in the slow cooker or in one skillet:
