Contentment is such an intentional choice. And I have really found that it starts with the small things. I post about contentment because I struggle with jealousy-definitely not a breeding ground for being thankful in all things! It helps to have written reminders-and it also helps to keep me accountable.

We have that wall decal hanging in our living room surrounded by pictures of our daughters. Such a great reminder for us each and every day.

This is super too. God always seems to know what we need; even when we don’t!

SO glad to find Joy again! I followed her Stay at Home Missionary blog and then lost her for a long time. Thanks for linking to her.
And. discontentment, was just praying about that about an hour ago, so this post was definitely timely.
“Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits” Ps. 68:19,
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Ps. 103:2
What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me?” Ps. 116:12

She actually closed it for a year and just reopened a new blog. So that may be why you “lost” her. I’m so glad she’s back to blogging–and that she’ll be at Relevant!

I love that! I’ve been feeling especially “aware” lately of how fortunate I am. Thanks for the quote! 🙂
