Does anyone know how this works?

I don’t have texting enabled on my phone, but from this post I already know the deals for each day. Is there a code or something that comes via text that enables you to get the deal (show your phone text message?)or do you just show up at Starbuck’s on the day of the deal you desire and you’ll get it? I noticed it does say limited quantities.

I went to Starbuck’s website and found this same listing, but couldn’t find why (other than as a daily reminder) you’d need to sign up via text.
