Welcome to my weekly Slow Day post, inspired by Monica from The Homespun Heart. My Word for 2018 is Slow and, in the spirit of that word, I’m taking one day each week (Wednesday) off — I’ll be unplugged and offline and plan to move at a slower pace, take time to do things that refresh me, and just really focus on being present and savoring the moment.
Each Saturday, I’ll be sharing a photographic peek into my Slow Day — and I’ll let the pictures almost 100% speak for themselves, instead of giving many explanations. Enjoy a little peek into our lives!
This girl often gets up early to go over her homework and check everything to make sure she got everything right! I love her dedication and diligence and how much she enjoys school!
I was in charge of bringing snacks for our small group this morning so I whipped up a batch of muffins to take, along with grapes.
We are in the second to last week of Discipleship Group and I’m so sad that it will be ending soon! Our group decided to attempt to meet weekly in the summer, though, so I’m grateful for that!
After school pick up and time with the kids and a little house work, it was dinner time and then off to Flag Football.
Silas has never done Flag Football, but he’s been enjoying it!
I wrote a note to a friend during the timeouts. 🙂
And then I headed to Frothy Monkey to meet my friend, Melissa, for our weekly tea date.
We’re slowly going through Mom Set Free — such a great book!

Hi! Hoping to learn where your couch, chairs and curtain panels are from. They’re beautiful! Thanks

Hi! Could you please tell me where you got the beautiful bird thank you cards?

Is there a way to get a copy of the discipleship program (Becoming a Whole Hearted Disciple) you’ve been journeying through this year? You’ve mentioned numerous times how influential it’s been, and I’d love to go through it with a circle of women.
Crystal Paine says
Currently, it’s only available through our church (because the program involves so much more than just the book). Eventually, our church is hoping to produce and pilot it to other churches. But that’s a longterm plan that likely won’t happen for at least a few more years.

What kind of muffins are those? They look good!
