    Hi Crystal,

I use gmail and have tons of labels and filters set up but my problem is that if I automatically label and remove emails from the inbox then it’s “out of sight out of mind”… How do you suggest I work though that?? Also, I currently have close to 4000 (I know, I know…) emails in my inbox. I absolutely do not have time to sort them all but I know there are important emails in there that I don’t want to just delete… Advise???

I am loving your morning Periscopes! I wish I could join live to ask a question or make a comment but 7:30 is when I’m trying to get my daughter ready and out the door for school…

    • A few ideas:

I’d recommend trying Boomerang instead of labeling. I only use a few labels and have a system set up for checking those. I’d also recommend taking an afternoon or even a day to go through your entire inbox and completely declutter it so that you can start fresh with systems that will help you stay on top of it.

Re: Homeschooling Scope on 9/23. Thank you so much for your comments on how it’s okay if your homeschooling choices are different than others’ choices. Our kids go to a university model school and we also utilize some teaching videos on their home days, so I have been feeling some guilt for not doing all the teaching myself, and feeling like I’m not a true homeschooler anymore. But this setup works great for our family since I have a demanding part-time job, and my kids are thriving. I just loved your reminder that it’s okay to do what works for your family, even if that means that you do things differently.

  4. From your scope today, I thought I’d tell you one little thing that has really helped me. I love writing handwritten notes to people but it’s often something that gets put on the back burner. So I decided to put a box of cards with envelopes in the van. Now when I’m waiting in a pick up line or may have to wait inside a building, I can take the box of cards and get a couple of notes written and ready to go! 🙂

Crystal I cannot even express how much of an inspiration you have been to me! I ran into your blog about 4 months ago I believe probably from pinterest! And you are my number one site to visit for help in “EVERYTHING”!!!!! Now with periscope I get your bright words, soft hear, and inspiration just about everyday. You have no idea how much of an impact you have been in my life. I so so so admire your willingness to serve over monetizing in everything you do! You have inspired me and that I thank you for from the bottom of my heart!

Hi! Just wondering what happened with the scope you were meant to do with your husband? It was announced on periscope (I watched it via katch.me) but now it has been deleted? Just wondering if I missed it or something came up. Thanks!

    • Lala says:

Sorry, I meant to say I couldn’t watch it via katch.me as it said it was no longer available and for some reason I am unable to watch via periscope live so my only option is katch.me. Thanks.

    • Since it was more personal/real-life, we decided to only have it available to live viewers and on the app for 24 hours. We plan to do more in the future, but will probably do the same for those, as well!

OK, just got my answer while catching up on katch.me with your scope today. May I just suggest that maybe you could leave it for longer than 24 hours especially if you scope during a weekend? I try to keep weekends media free to do what you have been talking about in your scopes, decluttering, be present, etc. So catch up for me (and I assume others) doesn’t happen over the wknd. Maybe you could consider for those who follow you daily to keep those fun scopes (behind the scenes, as you called them) for 72 hours? It’s just that logging into katch and people commenting on how great your scope with your husband was made me feel kind of left out. Anyway, thanks for your hard work and I’m hoping you’ll consider putting it up again for a couple of days!
