I’ve got some pretty exciting news to share with you all tonight. My team and I have been working hard on a project for a number of months and we can finally let the cat out of the bag!
One of my goals as a blogger is to offer really practical tools and tactics to help you cut your grocery bill. Which is why I’m thrilled to let you know that we are now offering the Grocery University course by Carrie Isaac.
Carrie is a long-time friend of mine (her husband is actually my brother-in-law’s cousin!) and she’s been a true inspiration to me in so many areas — especially in the area of keeping your grocery budget low!
A few years ago, Carrie produced Grocery University and has since sold thousands of copies of this course and inspired countless people to cut their grocery budgets! When I found out that Carrie was planning to discontinue selling Grocery University because her plate was too full, I approached her and asked if we could buy the rights to the course.
We’re so excited to have the opportunity to now sell this course as part of the MoneySavingMom.com product line. We’ve spent the last few months updating and tweaking the course handbook a bit to match our branding, but the information is still the same valuable information Carrie put together in 2010. You can read all about Grocery University here.

Do affiliates get a discount? Or should I just wait till 8/19 to purchase it for myself?
Crystal Paine says
You can email joy @ moneysavingmom.com and she’ll make sure you get an affiliate review copy.
Amanda@CrunchyHippieLife says
wooohoooo! Thank you so much! I know so many people who will benefit from this (and we could definitely benefit from the affiliate income!)
Crystal Paine says
You are so welcome!
Molly says
I would like to be in on this, but I don’t have a blog anymore, I now have a Facebook Page only. Can I still be a part of this opportunity?
Crystal Paine says
Yes, definitely!
Ai says
Can we start promoting this now before the 8/19 launch date?
Crystal Paine says
Yes, you absolutely may!
Jennifer says
Overachiever!! I mean that in the best way.
Ai says
LOL! Feeling the love, Jennifer!

I just signed up as an affiliate, thank you so much for sharing this opportunity! I am always trying to find ways to help people save money, and I believe this will be a great program.
Crystal Paine says
Thanks so much!

Is this something that can help me? I shop at Aldi and Wal-Mart, unless I’m getting meat which I shop the grocery store sales for. I don’t use coupons unless I see one for something we use. Is this program on how to use coupons or just smart shopping? I’d love to lower our grocery and toiletry budget, but I just don’t have time to wade through coupon sites….
Crystal Paine says
This course is focused on helping you be a strategic shopper and teaches you how to use coupons effectively to lower your grocery bill.
Zan says
Yea………Excited to help promote. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Cheryl says
This sounds like a great tool. I’m curious about the “Rock Bottom Price List,” what area of the country are the prices based on? Or is it adapted across the country.
Crystal Paine says
It’s adapted according to current prices you should be able to find by matching deals/coupons in most areas of the country. We just updated it two weeks ago so that it would be as current as possible.
Lauren@bPatty says
Thanks! I’m looking forward to it! Seems like fun 🙂
Crystal Paine says
Thanks so much!
EricaC says
I’m really interested in signing up, but the form asks for SSN and it’s not on a secure site (https). Do you have plans to upgrade to a secure site to store personal information securely?
Crystal Paine says
Hmm, can you leave that space blank for now? And thanks for letting us know — I didn’t realize that was the case. I’ll check on it right now.
EricaC says
Thanks – I left i blank — it then takes me to a secure page and says I need to enter it, which is fine :-).
Crystal Paine says
Oh good — I had thought it should be secure. I’m working on seeing what’s up with it not being secure for the whole sign-up right now.
Tanya Bates says
This opportunity does not appear to be free as there is a purchase page asking for $9.97. Can you explain since you are stating that it is free?
Crystal Paine says
Signing up for the affiliate program to promote the Grocery University product is free: http://groceryuniversity.com/become-an-affiliate/
I hope that clarifies — and thanks so much for your interest!
CouponGal says
Hey, Tanya – it’s worth it at any cost – when i started couponing almost 20 years ago, I wish I had a Grocery University or MoneySaving Mom to help me out – it woulda been a LOT easier…..

I have a comment and a question.
The comment is that I noticed in this sentence at the top:
“One of my goals as a blogger is to offer really practical tools and tactics to help you cut their grocery bill.”
Did you mean to help “you cut your grocery bill”?
Also, I would like to promote this but was wondering if it would apply to families that have to follow special diets. I have a very small blog (just started) called http://www.hashimom.com. I have had to change my diet to a paleo diet due to my autoimmune disease, so would this program still benefit me and my readers or would it be more geared to those with no dietary restrictions.
One of the areas I am struggling with is keeping my grocery budget down with my dietary restrictions and I would love to pass on this information to my readers as well. I have sorta given up on couponing because of it.
Thanks for any help.
Crystal Paine says
Whoops — that’s what happens when I cut and paste and then edit! Thanks for catching that!
And I do believe that Grocery University could help everyone, though it is specifically focused on teaching you how to successfully cut your grocery bill by clipping coupons and maximizing your savings by pairing coupons with sales.
CouponGal says
Hey, Anna – it IS possible to coupon and save BIG-time even with health issues – I’m on a WFGFCF diet – and tryin to do chemical-free….
my biggest suggestion to you is to start couponing on the things that are not health-specific – things like paper towels, bath tissue, batteries – things like that – this way you can free up more savings to put towards the foods and things that will help.
You can do it – I’M PRAYING FOR YOU!

Thanks for offering this! I’m excited to learn more about it and promote it!! 🙂
Crystal Paine says
Thanks so much for being excited with us!
Jennifer says
Thanks for offering this opportunity. It looks like a good one!
Jennifer says
p.s. the subject line in the email you sent me has a misspelled word
“Welcome to the Grocery University Affilaite Program”
JoyG says
Jennifer –
Thank you! We got that fixed… 🙂
