My Kroger Shopping Trip — I got Tide for $0.99, Huggies wipes for $0.49, plus more!
After being in Cincinnati last week with a few other frugal bloggers, including Katie from Kroger Krazy, I was so inspired to shop with coupons again — something that I haven’t done much of in the last few years. (Read more about how we save on groceries without using coupons here.)
So, I went over to Kroger Krazy, made my grocery list, printed my coupons, and then promptly lost the coupons! For real.
Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea??? 😉
I ended up finding out that my daughter had put the coupons under a stack of books, so all was not lost! But then when I got to the store, I realized how rusty I was at using coupons. I ended up having to consult Kroger Krazy multiple times on my phone AND I had to return a bottle of laundry detergent to customer service because I had bought the wrong size!!!!
Apparently, using coupons isn’t quite like riding a bike. When you learn how to do it once, you can’t necessarily just hop back on and do it again!
But, as I walked out of the store with my bags in tow and my receipt with all the savings listed, I remembered the rush I got from using coupons and getting deals and now I’m inspired to jump back into it again! 🙂
Here are the deals I got:

Do you know whether buy 4 save $4 is applied to ClickList purchases? They are only advertised in store, so I know I can’t see which items are on the b4s4 from the ClickList shopping… BUT if I know which items qualify from either your post or going in the store, and I purchase on ClickList, will they apply the discount when I sign out?
**Even though ClickList costs ~$5/trip, I use it for my big shopping because I can much more easily compare prices, find where sales+coupons intersect, and then of course it saves me a lot of time and stress by creating my list as I have time and then only having to pick up the items instead of searching for them in the store. The first time I used it, I saved $35 in coupons alone (mostly digital but they do take paper when you get there) plus another $40 by buying items on sale. I couldn’t even quantify how much I saved by price comparing, too. Then I make meal plans based on what I got on sale and only have to run occasionally for smaller items.

The mega does apply to clicklist however if they substitute an item it could affect it.

You’re the best Crystal! Thanks for the shoutout. 🙂 And GREAT JOB…you scored!! It was so great to FINALLY meet you in real life!

I see the coupon for always discreet products but not for the regular pads, does it work for that as well?

You inspired me and I went out last night before our ad went out on Wednesday. Such great deals. The only problem I has was with the Herbal essence ecoupon that didn’t come off. I think I will just leave it this time and not worry. Spent $16.00 and saved close to half off!

They have credited my account before for digital coupons that didn’t go thru, they will just add it as a credit to your account and it will take off next time you shop. Just call main customer service number, not local store.

Thanks Cris,
That’s good to know!

Thank you! I have been determined to try to use coupons on a few items to save some money. Feminine products seem like a great place to try to re-start coupons. I will give Kroger Krazy a look. We have a store just up the street, but I usually go somewhere else.

Food 4 Less is our “Kroger” store in the area. Does anyone know if this will work there?
TIA -
Ibotta also has a 0.25 cents for any brand baby wipes so got them for quarter!

Can I use Ibotta and use a manufacturer coupon as well?
