Do your kids eat snacks during the day? I feel like a lot of my budget ends up going to snack foods (crackers, gogurts, etc). I know I could make things and it would be cheaper but I’m just curious because I don’t see them in your menu plan for the week. Thanks! 🙂

Yes! Snacks vary depending on what I have on hand. I try to always have crackers on hand and bananas for snacks. This week I got the marked down yogurt and a few weeks ago blueberries were cheap at Aldi so I bought a bunch and froze them. Frozen fruit makes a great summer snack. If we don’t have any easy to grab foods, I’ll make energy balls or muffins and freeze them to last for the whole week.

Nicely done, Gretchen!
Bread, milk, eggs and hamburger/hot dog buns were all SO cheap at our Aldi this week! Many types of bread only $0.49/loaf, $0.25/pkg for hamburger or hot dog buns, and I believe $0.79/dozen for eggs and I forget the exact milk price but similar to what you found. Love nice surprises like that. 🙂
