    I haven’t tried this recipe, but foaming soap is great! I just mix 1 part liquid soap to 2 parts water in a faomins soap container. I only have to buy a bottle once every 3 months instead of every other month. Saving myself $8/year!

      Hi Donna! We use canning jars that we get from Wal-Mart. You can get the plastic lids to screw onto the jars at Wal-Mart in the canning section as well. We get the pump dispensers here: http://www.bottlesandfoamers.com/cart/

      Alternately, I think a lot of Bath and Body type shops sell regular,plastic foaming soap dispensers/bottles. (Maybe even Wal-mart?) Or, you can just save Bath and Body Works bottles–or get your friends and family to save them for you!

    This is an AWESOME idea! I’m seriously considering making a bunch of soaps and delivering these for Christmas this year instead of treat plates. Thank you for the direct link to the foaming dispensor tops, Erin!! :o) Does anyone have recommendations on where to get the castille soap? I found it on Amazon for $13.73 for a 32-ounce bottle. Is that a reasonable price? It seems expensive to me, but I also don’t want to drive all over town looking for castille soap. :o)

      I am so glad you liked the idea and may use this as gifts as well! We love giving these away–and of course using them at home as well!

      I *think* that is a good price. I just went and looked at our bottles, and I can’t find the ounces on them?? You may want to call your local health food store (if you have one) and/or GNC. We gets ours at GNC when they have a buy one, get one 50% off sale. I think we got one for around $14.99 and one half off of that last week. They may still be running the sale! Castile soap lasts a LONG time!!

      You are hilarious, Stacy!! I’m glad you like it!! And I know your friends/family will be more than pleased NEXT Christmas–after you collect all the old Bath and Body dispensers from your family who doesn’t need them anymore! Now that’s frugality from the queen of frugal!!
