Are you a blogger or a business owner who would love some insider tips, secrets, and encouragement for skyrocketing your success? You MUST check out the Platform Conference.
I went to this conference last year hoping I’d pick up some new ideas and inspiration for how to continue growing my platform. Instead, I left the conference with a completely new plan of action and approach for my business.
The speakers and attendees were not only inspiring, but they challenged me to think far outside of my current business strategy. I only wish I had learned this information sooner! It has transformed the way I think and the way I approach business and blogging.
Without a doubt, I can say that the money I spent to attend the Platform Conference was truly the best money I’ve ever spent on any conference in my life. Yes, it’s that good!
I’m honored to be speaking at the Platform Conference this year, along with an incredible line-up of other amazing speakers. I cannot wait to sit and soak up wisdom from them and be re-energized and re-inspired as a business owner and blogger.
The Platform Conference will be held November 9-11, 2014, at the beautiful Broadmoor Resort and Spa in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This event is for anyone and everyone who has something to say, share, or sell. This includes public speakers, authors, bloggers, business owners, entrepreneurs, sales people, pastors, nonprofit leaders, and more.

Crystal, something I’d love to know is how you know when to justify the expense of a conference like this. I would love to attend a blog/business conference but they are always so expensive! It’s hard for me to believe that the information that I’d gain will actually be worth that huge amount of money. Any thoughts?
Ps. I know that sometimes people are able to get sponsors but most times even if half the cost was covered till you figure in plane ticket etc. it is still rather prohibitive!
Crystal Paine says
I usually only attend 1-2 conferences each year that I pay for (that I’m not speaking at) and I have to really be able to justify the expense… for me, there are several factors:
1) Do I have the money set aside in business savings that I can afford to pay for this conference?
2) If so, do I think I’ll get at least 4-5 times’ worth the conference expenses out of the conference?
3) Who is attending/speaking at the conference? Sometimes, the value of conferences is not in the sessions themselves, but in the relationships built at the conference.
4) How much will the extra expenses be (such as: is the conference somewhere where plane tickets are inexpensive and I can get an inexpensive room/food)?
In the case of the Platform Conference last year, it was in Dallas which meant it was an inexpensive flight and hotel for my husband and me. In addition, we used a coupon code which gave us a good discount on the conference.
Then, not only did I meet a few individuals who have ended up becoming friends and wise counselors, but what I learned from the sessions at the conference completely transformed the way I approach business. And truly, within just a month, by implementing some of the things I learned at the conference, I’d made back everything I’d spent on the conference and then some. And the investment and things learned at the conference have continued to pay for itself over and over every single month since then. Long-term, with the changes we made based upon what we learned at the conference, it’s impossible to say how much that investment will end up paying off.
So for us, attending the Platform Conference was by far one of the best things we did for our business last year. I can’t wait to go back this year — and I’m incredibly honored to be one of the speakers. I don’t feel worthy of standing on that stage, but I’m just going to go up there, share my heart, and give it my all! 🙂

Thanks so much Crystal! That was very helpful.
I would love to hear you speak and am sure if you are real and share your heart like you said, you will be amazing!
