This week’s trip did include cereal, though, which is why I am posting it. :))

Thank you Brigette for another week of great menu & recipe ideas. Can’t wait to try the green rice. Don’t you love recipes that say mix all, pour into dish and bake? So simple!!
I haven’t like the Aldi in my area. Always been kind of dirty looking and everything is picked over and a mess. But, I am so impressed by your weekly list that I’m going there as soon as the store opens on Wednesdays-that’s there beginning of the sale week day.
Do you not buy yogurt to use as a part of a meal or a snack?
Aldis DO seem to vary by location as far as cleanliness. I never shopped there when we lived in Detroit! Great idea to go early in the day/sales week.
As far as yogurt, I LOVE plain greek yogurt, and do buy it at Aldi normally. I am struggling with a lot of food sensitivities right now, though, and am in the process of eliminating/reintroducing various foods. So no yogurt currently – but I miss it!! The only kind of yogurt my children willingly eat is the sugary, flavored stuff. I do buy it for them for special treats – i.e. when it is practically free at Harris Teeter with coupons 🙂 – but not on a weekly basis. My husband is NOT a yogurt person. 🙂
Wow, that’s a lot of food for $72! I was waaaay over budget so I will have to cut back next week. It will be our first week with the kids being out of school. Their meals are provided at school and daycare, so I may have to increase my budget for the summer, but hopefully not by much. The highlight of my shopping deals was doing the Huggies deal at my CVS. I spent just over $22, including tax for: 7 jumbo packs Huggies and 3-64 count Huggies wipes. I earned $6 back from ibotta.
Wow on the CVS deal! That is super impressive!! Did you have a lot of previous ECB’s you used, or how in the world was your total so low? I totally understand about increasing your budget since your kids will be eating more meals at home. My children consume huge amounts of food! Even the 15-month eats as much as many adults!
I started with a $10 ECB that I rolled and I used a $4 ECB that was a money maker from the previous week so it “cost me” $2 ECBs. CVS had $2/10 Huggies coupons that I stacked. I did 2 transactions earlier in the week using 2 of the $2/10, 3x $3 , $2 jumbo pack coupons, and $0.75 wipes coupons. I also submitted for the $3 ibotta rebate. I paid a total of $11.64 pretax. Later in the week, CVS added a $5/30 diapers and wipes coupon to my account and the ibotta offer reset. I went back and bought 2 wipes and 3 diapers. I rolled the $10 ECB, used 3x$3 diapers and 2x $0.75 wipes coupons, paid $7.47 pretax, and submitted for the $3 ibotta rebate. I buy almost all my diapers at CVS. I often pay no real money because I use gift cards earned through swagbucks, but I have some birthdays coming up so I cashed in for Walmart gift cards instead. I’m buying my boys a basketball hoop. 🙂
So I’m probably weird…but I noticed your wall color and your curtains. Really like them both!!
Also, I have taco salad, oranges, and green rice casserole as a meal on our upcoming week’s menu. Too funny! 🙂
Thanks for the link to the Orange dream smoothies. Going to try those this afternoon! Looks so yummy!!
Thanks for your post! 🙂
Not weird at all…at least I hope not. 😉 I do the same thing!!
That’s hilarious about the same meal being on your menu too! Now I want to see the rest of your menu. 🙂
That is a great price for all those fruits and veggies. I am so excited to see low prices again on produce. I bought some strawberries this morning and am making strawberry preserves today. Thanks for sharing.
Oooh, yum! Homemade strawberry jam is the BEST! 🙂
Lots of groceries 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome! 🙂
