I didn’t spend as much on groceries this week – but that’s only because we were out of town last week and so we made a quick grocery run this past weekend when we got back (one of those unorganized, unplanned kinds of grocery trips… you know, where you are in a hurry and just start throwing stuff in the cart because there’s no food in your house and you are hungry??! :)). Since we still have LOTS of food in the house, from THAT trip, we didn’t need too much this week. As far as meat goes, I will be relying on our freezer stash of venison (my husband got three deer hunting season!) and Zaycon chicken. I think we are done with traveling for a few months, so I’m back to (slightly) more organized shopping trips and meal planning. Hope that everyone had a great holiday season!

Bridgette,
Venison roast is OFTEN on your menus. Will you please share your recipe? Or any for ground venison? With the latest hunting season I am stocked up on venison and need some inspiration.
Many thanks

I’m new to this coupon thing were did you get your coupons? What does SS mean? I don’t have a Sunday newspaper can I still get good deals? Is there more than coupons.com?!? Frazzled!
Brigette Shevy says
“SS” means “Smart Source” which is an insert in the Sunday newspaper. You can absolutely get good deals without getting the newspaper, though! There are lots of great online printables! Depending on what grocery stores you have available in your area, you should look for a local blogger who posts deals and printable links to coupons. They’ve already done the work for you. 🙂 In our area, Aldi is the cheapest place to get many things (especially produce and dairy), and Harris Teeter offers the best coupon deals. WE have other stores that are good, too, but I narrow it down to those two for the sake of time. Hope this helps!

Great job! Thanks for sharing 🙂
