Welcome to my weekly update post where I share my weekly goals each week. These goals are based (somewhat) on my yearly goals for 2021, with some extras thrown in depending upon the week and what other short-term goals I have.
But first, a little peek into last week…
Her newest obsession is books! She loves them — and she leaves her mark on the library every time she goes into it! She loves to sit and look through the picture books on her shelf and it’s the cutest.
I discovered there were three opened bottles of pasta sauce in the fridge this past week. (How does that even happen??) So I froze them with this little helper!
One of my decluttering projects was to go through the library this past week. I had done this a year ago, so it didn’t need that much decluttering. But I did move a few things around and found a tall stack of books to get rid of.
We love getting to babysit for this sweet boy — and it’s so fun to see both babies on the move!
We got snow twice in the last week — which is a pretty big deal for the Nashville area! And the kids were thrilled that they even got a Snow Day and school was cancelled!
My parents and brother came to visit us for the afternoon and evening on their way to drop my brother off at college. It was great to get to see them again and to have them at our house.
I don’t discuss politics online, but I did want to say something about the events of last week. As I sat on Wednesday and watched the events unfold on TV, I felt prompted to write this prayer that I prayed over all of you Wednesday evening. I wanted to share it here in hopes that it might encourage some of you.
Now, even though it feels weird to transition from that, onto the goals…

Seeing you talk about reading to Kierstyn is so inspiring!
I’m not reading chapter books just to my little one yet, but we switched over to Every Story Whispers His Name for our family devotional time and we’re doing our family fiction read-aloud whenever the baby is with us and not napping, plus my teen and I have been reading board books to him.
Seeing your posts about reading to Kierstyn and Champ has influenced these things ❤

I just wanted to thank you for the coupon code for Dayspring. I was able to get a journal for my daughter and myself and with the code, I only paid the $6.95 shipping!! We are both writers, and sometimes being able to write/journal in a bound journal is a special experience!! She will be so pleased as well!!

I just adore your library!

Over the weekend my husband printed out a calendar and pinned it to a large board. It’s so helpful to be able to see a year + in one glance and I truly prefer paper over screens. Underneath I have our main goals for the month taped up. In a note book I have my weekly goals… Anyways, just to say I think it’s going to help us a lot. I often think of what you say to break goals into bit sized pieces.

I was praying for you guys to get to see Champ again soon!! Thrilled for all of you!!
And the photos of K enjoying her books much, and registering complete s-h-o-c-k at the spaghetti-sauce discovery are sooooo cute!!

Thank you so much! We are so grateful that we’ve been able to babysit for him at least once or twice every week while his mom works. It’s such a gift to us and we are so thrilled that he is thriving with his mom but that he still gets so excited to come to our house, too!

Thanks for posting your weekly goals! I’ve been on and off the goal setting wagon but you’ve inspired me since 2012 in goal setting, decluttering, living a life for Jesus and so much more! Thanks so much!
