My current treadmill read: One Question by Ken Coleman. I was blessed to meet Ken at a conference recently and was just completely impressed with his wisdom, authenticity, and humility.
After meeting him, I’m in no way surprised that I love his book. I told him last week that he’s motivating me to stay on the treadmill longer because I don’t want to put it down! 🙂
Kathrynne and Kaitlynn spent one afternoon last week collecting lady bugs from our yard. They ended up finding around 50, which they observed for a few hours and them let back into the wild.
After seeing my embroidery project, Kaitlynn asked if she could do her own sewing project. I showed her how to thread the needle and sew a little and she just took off. Here was the project she came up with on her own — no pattern at all!
My younger sister had her senior recital on Saturday. So all of the cousins were together for a few days. They had a blast.
Here was the picture that we told them to “act silly” in. As you can tell, we don’t lack for personality in our families. 😉
They all sang Holy, Holy, Holy together for the recital and it was priceless and rather hilarious. 🙂

Crystal,
I’d love to hear how you read while running on the treadmill. I just can’t do it! I use audiobooks instead.
I read during my warm-up and cool-down walk. 🙂
You sound like me! I do the same thing — no way I can read while actually running. I thought you had a magic secret I’d missed!
Crystal,
I loved seeing the videos of the recital. Great way to stay up on your family. I cannot believe, (well I guess I can because of the way God’s designed DNA to be passed on from generation to generation) how much the children remind me of you and your siblings at the same ages.
Blessings,
Linda
I agree with you! I especially think that Brigette’s daughter is so much like she was when she was little (or how I remember her being!)
I’m really curious how you read on the treadmill! Do you have something to keep your book open or do you hold it? I’d LOVE to read while on the treadmill but can’t seem to master it – what’s your secret??
I typically only read on my warm-up walking and cool-down walking. But I *can* read while I jog if I use an iPad. Not the most efficient, but it does work. 🙂
Love the kids singing! So sweet!
I love the needlework your daughter did, she’s got some skills!
And the video of the children singing is SO precious & priceless indeed!
thanks for sharing the video clip of the children singing. they did very well for their ages. great memories.
Too cute! And they sing really well!
Precious pictures! And Kaitlynn’s embroidery is very impressive! Sewing is such a lost are these days. I hope you encourage her natural talent. 🙂
