{My apron from Fair Trade Friday.}
What have you been loving recently? Here are 5 things I’ve been loving:
1) FREE Custom Shampoo & Conditioner
Did you sign up for the FREE custom haircare samples I posted about last month? Mine showed up in the mail this week and I’ve been loving using them. And they smell so amazing!
2) An Inspiring Quote
I found this quote on Facebook and just absolutely loved it! So thought-provoking and wise.
3) Parenting the Wholehearted Child book
I’ve mentioned this book before, but I wanted to mention it again, because I’ve been reading 1-2 chapters every day this week and have been gleaning so, so much from it. It’s convicted, challenged, and encouraged me in my mothering and many of the truths in it will stay with me for years and years to come.
4) A Husband Who Spoils Me
My friend, Leigh Kramer, posted a picture of these yesterday and I was ruined. Because once you see this package, you can’t un-see it.
I was so ruined by the picture that I had to show Jesse. I mean, really, I couldn’t keep news of this marriage of Oreos and Reese’s to myself. That would just be selfish and unloving. 😉
I forgot, though, that Jesse was headed to out to run some errands. Which meant that he just couldn’t help himself. He had to stop by Kroger to see if they happened to possibly, just maybe, perhaps have these lovelies on their shelf.
And then he came home and came into my office with this mischievous smirk plastered on his face and I knew what he had gone and done. Because he’s way too predictable like that… and he loves to find ways to spoil me!
5) My Choose Joy T-shirt
Okay, so I know I shared about these shirts in my last 5 Things I’m Loving post, but since we launched them on Tuesday, you’ll just have to humor me and let me mention them again. Because I’m kind of in love with them. 🙂
Also, I needed this Choose Joy reminder this week. Again and again. You can read more why I did here.
What about YOU? What are you loving this week?

You’re right! Once you see those Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Oreos you can’t unsee them!!! They’ve come out with some odd flavors recently, but I’m definitely going to have to try these. :O)
This week I’m loving my Dear Jesus devotional by Sarah Young!

I just wanted to say a huge Kudos to Cents of style- I ordered the shirt above and there was some sort of mishap and they immediately refunded me the difference and added in the earring that were not included. Joyful ending 🙂

I’m so grateful! I’ve worked closely with them for a long time and love the folks there!

This is a fun article! I think I’m going to have to avoid those oreos. They look way too tempting.
I’m enjoying having my husband back in town, after him being gone for a week on business.
As much as I can complain to him about not cleaning the sink well enough, or not taking out the garbage as frequently as I would like, I am so blessed to have a husband who does help me so much. Definitely sending out prayers to those single parents out there!

2. A lot of family time
3. A breakfast date with a friend in our home
4. A bookstore date with my hubby while a generous friend watched our boys at a fun birthday party
5. A squash growing in our compost bin

1. My tomatoes are finally getting ripe!
2. A new simple and delicious pasta recipe that we both loved and is all pantry ingredients for when I forgot to plan ahead.
3. Our pastor being able to take a sabbatical every July.
4. My talented husband lettered our house number on our front door on Saturday and it looks awesome!
5. Sunday lunch at Red Robin since hubby had a free burger for his birthday month.

I think that you are wonderful, Crystal. Jesus loves you so very much.

Love that quote!
I bought a package of oreos last week and loved them but then my body regretted my eating practically the whole package by the weekend. Still deciding if the trade-off was worth it 😉

The book sounds great. Another great book with a similar and so refreshing message is Give Them Grace by Elise Fitzpatrick

I always enjoy those posts 🙂 My 4-year-old son just had his first soccer practice and I started to go to the gym again. I also discovered new pasta recipe and going to read many new books of personal finance and wealth management. Next week I am launching a new online business product, so I keep myself very busy!

I had a very sick kid with me this week, so I am really loving Tylenol. Thank God for medicine!

The Reese’s Oreos are incredible. I saw them on one of the days I made the mistake of going shopping hungry and bought three packages instead of just the one I would have probably bought just because I wouldn’t be able to resist them.
But this week a friend posted a picture of Key Lime Oreos which are supposed to be key lime filling in graham Oreo cookies. So far, I haven’t found any in the stores, but I’m making flimsier and flimsier excuses for going into stores to look for them.

I’m about 3/4 thru the Parenting the Whole Hearted Child book and just not loving it. I guess b/c it’s a little preachy and not many heart-gripping stories to illustrate the points, I just can’t get into it. I was even going to see about getting my money back b/c I don’t even care to finish it. =( That’s so weird though because I read almost all of the books you recommend and usually love them all!
Crystal Paine says
I’m so sorry you’re not enjoying it. I’m almost finished with it and have gleaned so much from it, but I completely understand that not every book is for everyone. And parenting books are a genre that are kind of iffy because we all have so many different backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences to bring to the table that shape our beliefs and viewpoints there. Hopefully, you’re able to get a refund.

You are just glowing with beauty these last couple of photos i have seen of you.

Those Oreos are so good! They have so many different kinds now– like birthday cake and s’mores. I haven’t tried any “unusual” ones except these.

This week I’m loving this All-Natural Super Fruit Milk (a healthy alternative to artificial strawberry-flavored milk): http://everydaymindfulliving.com/all-natural-super-fruit-milk/
And the book Still Alice. It’s a fiction book written from the perspective of an Alzheimer’s patient, and is at once heart-breaking, riveting, terrifying, and full of love. I can’t stop thinking about it. I think Everyone should read it. I wrote a review of it here: http://everydaymindfulliving.com/still-alice-by-lisa-genova/

Those Oreo’s look really good!
5 Things I am Loving This Week
1. First bike ride of the season with my middle child. Short one just 14 miles but wet one with HUGE puddles on the trail. We were both soaked by the time we were done.
2. Shopping for my eldest son’s open house with my hubby in Fort Wayne. By the time we were done the back of the SUV made us look like we were opening a candy store.
3. Making carnival games for the open house also with the hubby. He is so creative I of course went with my usual list and ideas straight from Pinterest. But he in the store came up with this idea to use 5 gallon buckets, PVC pipe and pool noodles to make this jousting game.
4. Family dinners. We got 3 this week and that doesn’t often happen due to my husband’s odd work hours.
5. Great friends who keeps me humble, make me laugh and will stop their life to help me with mine during key moments in my life. Like volunteering to run a snow cone or cotton candy machine for 4 hours for you so that you can mingle with guests at your son’s graduation party.

Your comment makes me think of my husband too. Who needs Pinterest when you have a thoughtful husband! I need to trust him!
