Welcome to December’s series on 31 Days of Giving on a Budget. In this series, I’ll be sharing inspiring stories from my readers and posts with practical ways to give — even on a limited income.
If you have a Giving on a Budget story to share of a way you or your family has given to others this year or this holiday season, please email me your story (or a link to your post on your blog) and a picture to go along with it, if possible. I’d love to hear it and possibly share it during this series!
KWAVs shows you how you can make blessing bags for the homeless and needy. This would be a fantastic way to use some of your free samples and coupon freebies to bless others this holiday season.

This is a great idea! I have to travel to a large city, 2 hours from my home every 6 weeks for surgery. There are many homeless people at the stop lights asking for help. I’ve never felt comfortable giving them money, but the blessing bag, would be perfect. Thanks for sharing the idea.

I work in a Children’s Home down a ways in the state from you. We have a church group who regularly donates something very similar to us. We use them for our intakes, kids who may or may not have been fed. You know how it is with teens, they are ALWAYS hungry. I’ve seen and done many hygiene based packs like this, but the addition of snack is the best idea. Thanks for sharing this Crystal, and the very best of holiday blessings to you and yours.
