Yesterday’s Markdown Grocery Shopping Trip (a great deal on beef!)

Yesterday's Kroger Markdown Shopping Trip

I stopped by Kroger last night to see if there were any great markdown deals and I was excited to find a great deal on meat!

I got Laura’s Lean Ground Beef for $3.99 per pound, Wheat Tortillas for $1.09 (closeout pricing), and 5 tubs of yogurt for $0.39 each.

As I mentioned earlier, I had some grocery money leftover in the budget this week, so I used it toward these groceries. We’ll use the meat for next week’s menu since we already have everything we need for this week’s menu.

It’s little things like buying marked down meat with leftover grocery money that helps me be able to stay within our grocery budget, buy ahead for the next week, and feed our family well without breaking the bank.

P.S. I uploaded my receipt to Yaarlo & earned a little cashback for doing so. If you haven’t signed up with Yaarlo, use my coupon code MONEYSAVINGMOM when you sign up to earn more. It’s such a simple way to earn a little cash for something you’re already going to be doing!

I love that you are doing this again! I missed your posted about your menu, what your buying and what’s marked down. I never thought to look for markdowns before!

    I went yesterday and got eggs for .50 a carton 🙂 I bought 6 and 5 lbs of bananas for 2.00. 🙂

You can also add your receipts to receiptpal and receipthog. I use them inconjunction with yaarlo 🙂
