Is your life feeling hopeless and overwhelming right now? My guest post on Hope for Women today might encourage you:
I flung myself into a heap on the floor in our little basement apartment.
“What am I supposed to do, God?” I cried aloud. “I’m so thankful for this baby, but I’m so sick with this pregnancy. And being so sick means I can’t work. How are we going to survive?”
I felt helpless and at the end of my rope. My morning-noon-and-night sickness had hung on for weeks, keeping me from working at the part-time jobs I had before I got pregnant.
While my husband was in law school, those part-time jobs were keeping us afloat. Combining both of our incomes, we were already barely making it. With the absence of my income, our finances suffered a huge blow – and so did my faith.

Thank you so much for this post. I really needed such an encouragement. I’ve just started a new job that I’ve never experienced before and working so hard to learn that work and doing my best, but it’s not working, then I started to think this job is not for me. Now I won’t give up. God is always with me and he will let me get through this tough time. There is something I can do in this job. I will just keep going what I am doing and focus on what I can do.

How beautifully it worked out for all of us that you had to spend that time on the couch! :-). For others who have pregnancy sickness that bad, though, definitely talk to your doctor about Zofran. It has been a gift from God for me.

Tabitha, take refuge in the comfort of Christ! Congrats, girl~ welcome to the family!! There will be many a time in your life when the boat rocks and sometimes you are sure it will capsize or get a hole, but God will always pull you through, even if that means getting out of the boat and going out onto the water!

i needed to read this today.. i am struggling with my health and can’t do anything that i was able to just a month ago.. being on anti-rejection medicine has a lot of downfalls and it’s easy to get discouraged.. i too have found that giving it my all is what is best, and that i am truly provided for.. even when i don’t know how it will all work out.. it does.. thank you for your example!!

MJW-I am a 33-yr-old mom of 3 with heart failure. I can relate to your frustrations of having health problems. It is so easy to get down! Prayers for you that you will be able to accomplish your dreams and that your time on meds will be easier. Thinking of you!
