48-Hour Giveaway: Volumes 1-8 What’s In the Bible DVD Set (3 Winners)

Last year at the Relevant conference, the What’s In the Bible? folks approached me about doing a giveaway on my blog. I sort of shrugged them off because the DVDs didn’t really look like anything much but some silly cartoons.

However, I said they were welcome to send some DVDs to us to check out and, if we liked them, I’d be willing to consider a giveaway. I figured that would be the end of that since I was guessing we wouldn’t like them as they just didn’t seem like our type.

Well, we got the DVDs, we sat down and watched them, and I was proven very, very wrong. We LOVED them. (And if you’ve read here much, you know that it takes a lot for me to use all caps about something!)

Yes, they are silly and corny at times. But a lot of the time they are genuinely funny.

And it’s not the fact that they are humorous that impressed my husband and me: it’s that they have a depth to them that very few children’s Bible products we’ve seen have.

Our children have learned so many new things about Scripture and how it fits together as a whole. These DVDs have opened up conversations about many, many spiritual issues that we’ve not broached before. And God has used them in powerful ways in our children’s hearts and lives.*

So, contrary to what I ever expected, we are HUGE fans {there I go, using all caps again!} of What’s In the Bible DVDs. And I’m so excited that they are giving away three complete DVD sets today.

*Note: As with all things like this, I heartily encourage you to watch these DVDs and discuss what’s in them with your children. You might not necessarily agree with everything in the DVDs, but we’ve found that’s provided a wonderful springboard for some really deep and meaningful conversations about spiritual things with our children.

Would you like to win a set of Volumes 1-8 of the What’s In the Bible DVD series? Just click on the graphic below and type in your name and email address. Three winners will be chosen and posted on Monday.

I agree with you! These are INCREDIBLE videos! My 13 year old, after watching the first video with her younger brother said, “Wow, I just learned more in 30 minutes than I did in all the years I have been in Sunday School.” Our whole family loves these!

WITB is proving to be a great series that families should check out for sure. I haven’t seen or read a contrary review on this, all positive.

I love that you didn’t just say “Sure, I’ll do a giveaway” which would be tempting. I love you and your blog because you care about the content and the things you offer. Thanks so much for all you do!

Not heard of these videos, but they sound interesting. My son would probably enjoy them. He loves the VeggieTales, though. Have your children ever watched these? We love Bob, Larry and the whole gang!

  9. Pam S. says

Every Christian should watch these videos! OK, maybe they are a little corny to adults, but the content is exceptional. I’ve never come across a better overview of the Bible which gives the big picture of God’s plan for creation and redeption and eternity. My six-year old regularly quote Bible facts and church history to me that he has learned from watching these entertaining videos.

This series is so great! We have the first video, and my 1 year old and 3 year old sons love it. My husband is a pastor and is so impressed by the amount of deep Biblical teaching in these kids videos – definitely hard to find elsewhere. What a great giveaway!
