KMart: 4 boxes of Ziploc Bags for $0.20 total after catalinas!

by Crystal on March 22, 2012

KMart currently has two overlapping catalina deals going on for Ziploc Bags making for an incredible deal. Here’s how it breaks down:

Buy four boxes of Ziploc bags at $2.50 each
Use four 70/1 Ziploc printable coupons (Note: watch the video in order for the coupon value to bump up to $0.70/1 — you’ll need access to two computers to print 4 coupons. There are also other Ziploc coupons available by searching the coupon database.)
Spend $7.20 plus tax out of pocket, Get back a $5 catalina and a $2 catalina

You can use these catalinas like gift certificates on your next purchase at KMart.

Thanks, Common Sense With Money!

I was only allowed to print one coupon per computer. Did some people get to print two?

  • Pamela March 22, 2012 at 09:31 am

    Thanks for this deal, Crystal!

I have access to two computers, but could get only one coupon to print per computer. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if they’ve programmed it that way…..

Off to check your coupon database!

Be advised that not all Kmarts will accept internet printables. Ours doesn’t. :( It’s not coupon-friendly at all. But it’s a great deal if you can get it!

There is a $1/2 from a SS insert a few weeks back and there was a .50/1 in 3/18 SS that we got. HTH

  • TANYA March 22, 2012 at 10:02 am

Yep.. I could only print 1 this time. Maybe they programmed it that way for the VV? Most VV I was able to print 2. There were coupons I think in last week’s paper $1/2 ziplock. So still good deal! Another site some ladies complained about not receiving the catalinas maybe because the value didn’t hit $10 AFTER coupons. I think I’ll play it safe and make sure I add extra boxes to hit the $10 after coupons:)

    the video won’t even play!

I just did this deal this morning! You can find Ziplock coupons in the Smartsource inserts from 3/4 and 3/18!

  • Sharon March 22, 2012 at 10:25 am

Anybody know if this price includes freezer bags?

    • shari March 22, 2012 at 11:27 am

      Yes! The 15 count.

  • Amanda March 22, 2012 at 10:33 am

I have never couponed at kmart. Are the coupons you get good on any purchase or on more ziplocks?

  • Tiffany Acuff March 22, 2012 at 10:35 am

If you just hit the back button as soon as your coupons start to print, then they print a second time…

  • Lena March 22, 2012 at 10:44 am

There were ziploc coupons on coupons.com earlier this month. I have a couple leftover, so check your stash if you pre-print coupons. I’d also bet there are some from the Sunday paper inserts, although I have been exclusively printing coupons for the last several months.

Ok Since I hardly ever shop at Kmart. Can you tell me, can I do multiple transactions and use the catalinas to pay for more ziploc?

  • Sheila March 22, 2012 at 11:08 am

Dont forget if you spend $25 in pantry or health and beauty and you have a rewards card Kmart will double your coupons up to $1. Of course you also want to remember you can only have 5 doubled per day.

When I saw this deal I was so excited because Ziploc bags are at the top of my wish list for stocking up. Then of course I got sick and my poor baby got sick and that nixed my trip to the store. I was actually really bummed about this but then I found a great tutorial on how to make my own reusable snack bags and I thought hey I already have all the stuff to make these. So instead of taking out my sick baby, driving all the way to the store (we live in the country) and then hoping that they still had them in stock (we live in an extremely over couponed area, lets just say everyone around here thinks they are on TLC every time they shop); I have been able to make a bunch of reusable bags without spending a dime. I am super excited about it. Not only were they free (except my time) but they will last a long time and also be good for the environment. If any of you ladies aren’t able to find them in stock at your store you might give making your own a try.

    • Heather March 22, 2012 at 11:52 am

Mandy – would you mind posting the tutorial you found? I’d love to take a look! Thanks!

Sure go to http://ihavetosay.typepad.com/photos/reusable_snack_bag_tutori/img_9196.html to see it.

I have 2 computers but only 1 printer, and it’s out of ink. *sad*

  • Andrea @ Clipping Makes Cents March 22, 2012 at 12:17 pm

I was only able to print one, too. I didn’t think about the back arrow since these coupons print alot like the smartsource coupons. Oh, well…I’ll try it on my next computer. Thanks, I’m super excited about cheap Ziploc! :)

  • Denise March 22, 2012 at 12:27 pm

I tried using the “back” arrow trick too & since you have to watch the video to get it to .70 cents, it doesn’t work. :(

  • Erica March 22, 2012 at 01:20 pm

Worked for me spending $10 BEFORE coupons. It only let me print once, but I have 2 computers so I was able to print 2-70 cents off and I got 2-60 cents off on target.com (which were manuf. coupons). I was able to use all 4 coupons no problem. With tax I paid $8 and got $7 back, which allowed me to get some much needed new undershirts for my hubby for a good price :)

  • Anna March 22, 2012 at 02:26 pm

I did this deal this am. I got 3 boxes of sandwich bags but also got the bonus size which were 120 vs. 100 count. I paid $8 and got $7 back. That will go towards my grocery budget and I will move that $7 in my savings! Yea!

    • Anna March 22, 2012 at 02:26 pm

I meant to say 4 boxes of sandwich bags.

  • Macey March 22, 2012 at 02:55 pm

Recent Ziploc coupons for $1 off 2 in Parents, Housekeeping, family fun magazines…and like Sheila said, with the $25 purchase, they would double and be an even better value…haven’t done it myself, but sounds great. Too bad Kmart CS isn’t always the best, but good to know others are having luck with coupons.

  • Anita March 22, 2012 at 05:12 pm

Maybe I missed it but can someone tell me what “catalina deals” are? Thanks.

  • rachel March 22, 2012 at 07:49 pm

Just fyi you have to purchase 5 boxes of bags for the catalinas to print. The total has to be over $10 AFTER coupons(I noticed the fine print at the bottom of the ad while at the cust. serv counter). I purchased 4 boxes then returned them to purchase 5 boxes in order for the deal to work. I’m just thankful my kids weren’t in tow! It was a little bit of a hassle but it worked out in the end.

  • Guest March 22, 2012 at 07:50 pm

Went to Kmart to get this great deal and when I get to the aisle there’s a lady opening Ziploc boxes to steal the coupons out of them. I can’t believe it. Oh to what lengths people go through. I managed to get 6 boxes that she didn’t get her hands on. I’m happy!

  • chris March 22, 2012 at 08:00 pm

When I printed them, I added the 60c coupon “to print” and then I watched the video and added the 70c coupon and it printed both the 60 and 70 cent coupons!!

  • Steph March 23, 2012 at 11:18 am

I bought 4 boxes and got the $5 and $2. My total was $10 and I didn’t buy any other items.

  • Rebecca March 24, 2012 at 04:40 pm

I did this deal today….bought 4 boxes with a B2G1 coupon I had from a while back. Spent $8.10 and got $7 back. I debated going back for another round, but with 4 crabby kids I just couldn’t make myself do it ;)
Does anyone know how long the catalinas are printing for? Was it just this week or longer? Thanks!

    • Patti March 25, 2012 at 07:48 am

I was wondering how long also, Rebecca. I couldn’t make it there on Sat and wondered if it was still going this week?
