I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all of you for your support of my soon-to-be released book, The Money Saving Mom®’s Budget. I was absolutely floored that your response to my blog post bumped the book into the top 100 books on Amazon for two days this past week! From what my publisher and agent are telling me, that’s almost unheard-of–especially weeks before the book actually releases.

Your love, care, kindness, and cheerleading of the book have truly blown me away. You have no idea how much it means. I’m humbled, speechless, and feel blessed a thousand times beyond what I deserve. I just wish I could hug each one of you personally and thank you individually. Hopefully someday in the not-too-distant future!

In the mean time, I do have a little special something planned for this coming week as a thank you. More details on Tuesday. :)

And now for our weekly review post…

Thank you, Heather!

Janille November 12, 2011 at 10:38 pm

Yay! That’s awesome. I pre-ordered :D

Crystal November 12, 2011 at 10:41 pm

Aw, thank you SO very much!

Challice November 12, 2011 at 10:46 pm

I am one of the blessed bloggers that get to review your book. I got the draft book yesterday in the mail box and read snippets to hubby as we headed out of town for our chiro. appt. Hubby now wants to read it with me… as much as I LOVE and wanna do this with hubby, I am sneaking time away to try to read more! I dont wanna put it down!

Seriously! If you havent made the decision to buy this book, let me just say this, I have a lot of “organizing” and “budget/savings” books. I love to read, but I think I can safely say, this tops them all. Its practical, wonderful… well, review coming soon. ;)

Crystal November 12, 2011 at 11:44 pm

You are way too kind. Thank you, Challice. And thank you for your willingness to do a review!

I started following your site last year about this time and can’t tell you just how much I love it!!! Following your blog has been a life saver for me! Since I started reading your blog my husband and I, with great discipline, have paid off all of our credit card debt and had enough money saved back that even though he has been laid off for 6 months – we still had another 6 months of savings in the bank. And we have been blessed by him receiving multiple job offers in the past couple weeks!! He starts a new job next Monday. Thank you so much for all you do!!! I just pre-ordered your book and can’t wait to read it :)

Congratulations!!!

Crystal November 12, 2011 at 11:43 pm

Thank you so very much for your kind encouragement. That is SO fantastic about your savings, too! And I’m very thankful your husband will be starting a new job soon. Rejoicing with you!

Isel November 12, 2011 at 11:00 pm

Congratulations! :)

Okay, so I thought this was funny and thought you would all get a chuckle: I clicked on the link for the book. You know how Amazon shows you a strip of “People who bought this also bought…” There are a few things you would expect- other budgeting books, family books, etc. But, on mine anyway, it showed the Amazon Tide deals from a few weeks ago, the Clif bar deal, and a peanut butter deal. I guess you can tell that your readers are the ones buying your book! I have never had it recommend food and cleaning supplies to me when I am shopping for a book!!

Crystal November 12, 2011 at 11:19 pm

I know! I think mine is the only book where people are buying peanut butter, laundry detergent, and diapers along with it. It’s been funny to watch! :)

Allyson @ A Heart for Home November 12, 2011 at 11:39 pm

I received my review copy yesterday and just finished it tonight while I sat with the kids waiting for them to go to sleep. There I was with my little book light devouring your words. My husband and I already have a date set next week to talk about your book, so I’ll be going back through and making notes since he doesn’t have time to read it right now.

Thank you for all of your insights and for making debt-free and frugal living a reachable goal for so many people!

I know God is going to bless all of your hard work!

Crystal November 12, 2011 at 11:45 pm

You are so very welcome, Allyson. Thank you for your willingness to do a review!

Minna November 13, 2011 at 2:29 am

Greetings from Finland :-)

I found Your blog couple of months ago and I like it!! Even though all the tips are not relevant e.g. the couponing the basic principals are applicable anywhere in the world. You just need to adapt them to Your country’s circumstances.
I just also pre-ordered Your new book and can’t wait to read it.
Me and my husband have always been able to pay for our mortgage and bills and also save at the same time. However after reading Your blog I realise that we can do so much more.

Thanks for the great blog !

Kind Regards,

Minna

I’m not a frequent commenter but I don’t think a day goes by when I don’t check your site at least 4 or 5 times a day. I can’t thank you enough for all your help and advice, it has really changed our lives. You deserve all the blessings you receive and more, because if you changed our little lives in my household I can only imagine all the ways you have positively affected the lives of your many readers….so again, thank you SO much and may God continue to bless you and your family!

sarah November 13, 2011 at 3:39 am

I could have written this myself :)

Jessica Claire November 14, 2011 at 3:27 pm

I agree! I also check your site multiple times a day. You have blessed our family and changed our lives for sure! I am excited to be able to help bless your family (although not near the blessings you have given us) through purchasing your book. Thanks so much for all you do.

Crystal November 14, 2011 at 3:37 pm

Thank you so much for your kind words, Jessica!

Becky November 14, 2011 at 3:40 pm

I agree wholeheartedly with this comment! Your success is well-deserved Crystal! Congrats!

pattie November 13, 2011 at 3:20 am

When I started reading your blog 3 years ago, DH and I were eating out 3 times a day. We didn’t have a fridge, stove, or dining room table (because we didn’t cook) and we spent way more money than we should. Now I’m happy to report that we hardly eat out, have kitchen appliances, and I freezer cook often. Thanks to your blog teaching me what I was never taught growing up, I’ve learned to be a good steward of what I have. My husband and I just started going through the process for fostering a child, and we would have never made it without the help from you! I definately can not wait until this book comes out.

su November 13, 2011 at 6:00 am

Congratulations and you are a continued source of blessing and encouragement to all of us who read/follow your blog. We appreciate what you do!

Karen November 13, 2011 at 7:20 am

That’s so wonderful. Very exciting, Crystal.

Coupon Cutting Mom November 13, 2011 at 7:56 am

If you have not pre-ordered this book, hurry over today and get your copy. Thanks to Crystal I got a copy to review! Let me tell you it is EXCELLENT! My husband was home when the book came and he read it before I did. Even he enjoyed reading it. It is an excellent book for anyone to read, but especially someone new to the world of saving money and budgeting. It explains everything in such great detail. Thanks Crystal. May you richly blessed by all you hard work you put into your book. I think it is very exciting that the profits are going to Compassion.

Cari November 13, 2011 at 9:25 am

Crystal,

I cannot put into words how much your website has helped me! Starting January 1st I will be completely changing how I use money and live my life and you are my number one inspiration and guide (besides the Lord of course)!

Thank you so much for ALL of your helpful posts, links and I can’t wait for your book!

Blessings from New Hampshire :)

Nancy November 13, 2011 at 9:27 am

I’m so excited to read your book after the holidays. I’m faily new to couponing and to your blog. I enjoy your entire blog – it’s so much more than couponing. Love your frezeer cooking – especially when it doesn’t turn out perfect. It’s shows you are real. Thanks for inspiring me to be better.

Crystal November 14, 2011 at 8:14 am

Thank you so much, Nancy!

Andrea November 13, 2011 at 10:03 am

I can’t wait to read your book. I have enjoyed your website for 2+ years now and am proud to see how you have changed and grown as a blogger, couponer and mom. I pre-ordered not only to make sure I get a copy asap but also to show my support of your efforts and dedication. Congrats and I hope you continue to experience wild success.

Crystal November 14, 2011 at 8:13 am

You are so kind and encouraging, Andrea. Thank you!

Jana T November 13, 2011 at 11:28 am

You are too kind, Michelle! I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that I am, as Dave Ramsey says, “Better than I deserve.”

:) God is good! So excited for you!!!

MomofTwoPreciousGirls November 14, 2011 at 3:03 pm

I have been so flustered with my Barnes and Noble account. They were not properly storing my GC balances, so when I went to pre-order it wouldn’t work! FINALLY got it all straightened out (I’m glad I’m an e-mail hoarder!) and placed my order TODAY!

I’m very excited about this…
