wow awesome! thanks!
Thank you!!!! I love their kefir and it is not in the budget right now. What a lovely treat!
Stephanie,
Just wanted to tell you that kefir can be made for much less than purchasing it this way.
If you can get ‘grains’, you can keep using them over and over and they grow more (to share or sell)….but you can also buy one bottle of plain like above, and re-culture with it as you would buttermilk.
Use about 1/4 cup of plain, bottled kefir in about a quart of milk. Leave it at room temp for 24 hours- more kefir!
Blessings!
I am looking forward to trying this. Is this like a yogurt? Thanks for sharing the deal!
Hi Gail,
I’ve never actually had this particular brand of Kefir, but I do make homemade Kefir. Kefir is similar to yogurt in the sense that it is a cultured food and can be made with milk, however it is much stronger than yogurt and has a more yeasty taste. Incredibly easy to make at home and so much cheaper.
Gayle, where did you get your Kefir grains…I would like to start making kefir as well, but i was not able to find someone who has the grains
I found mine on Amazon and they are also for sale on Etsy.
I am not Gayle, but I purchased mine from Etsy. An unlikely place I suppose but I have had great success with my grains!

This is where I get my Kefir grains. The brand advertised here goes for about $3.89 /qt in my local grocery and I make it at home for $0.75/qt. It’s super easy and fantastic source of probiotics.
Ksenia, this is where I get my grains. Really easy to make yourself.

Recipe please?
Hi Stephanie,
I’ve only ever made Kefir using my grains. If you are looking for a good source purchasing grains, this is where I get mine. You can keep using the same grains every day to make a new batch. Save me about $3.00/quart and we go through 2 quarts/day at our house, so the savings is huge.

Great! We buy several bottles every few weeks to help our son with his allergies and it is expensive. I’m excited to get the coupon. :~)
That sounds like such a great idea! Thank you for sharing!
