Super Amazing Savings August 10, 2011 at 12:27 pm

That is a fabulous idea and it’s gorgeous. I can’t think of anywhere in my home – of the top of my head – where it would look nice, but I’m still thinking…. ’cause I love it.

Michelle August 10, 2011 at 1:34 pm

In the bathroom, of course!! :)

Lara August 14, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Actually… I’m considering this for the wall in my stairwell.. the one you see when you walk down… Right now, it’s a big, empty, painted space. If I’m up for a more colorful creation, I might pull out my craft paints, and add some ‘stalks’ in the background. In a faintly tinted shade of white. (very, very, very pale green). Would lighten up the dark space, and add some interest, for very little cost!

kristen August 10, 2011 at 12:33 pm

Now that’s very cool!!!

Robyn August 10, 2011 at 12:40 pm

What a great idea! This would look amazing in my -grey, white & purple -master bedroom! I’m inspired :)

Laurie August 10, 2011 at 12:41 pm

That is so amazing. I have been looking for inexpensive craft programs for the kids for homechooling, I can see a Star Wars Ship, using the same principles for my kiddos!

Thanks

Robyn August 10, 2011 at 12:42 pm

Coincidently… I have been saving rolls. I don’t know why, I guess I was waiting for a cute project :)

stephanie August 10, 2011 at 1:46 pm

I have seen it all now!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot get over how cool that looks. Who would think????????

Janet August 10, 2011 at 1:49 pm

It is always soooooooooooooooooooo interesting to me how many things people find to do with things that we all throw away all the time.

I love these too as party favors wrapped as a giant tootsie roll put a small toy and a few candies inside wrap with tissue and put child’s name on also becomes a place maker for seating, This works well at Thanksgiving at the kids table as they open it (ours know to set the candies aside but they all play with the toy until they are served and it helps the hostess) At teen parties instead of small toys key chains are nice.
The list goes on.
So many many uses for trash!

pantrygirl August 10, 2011 at 2:35 pm

I was trying to figure out a cool art project for me and my daughter and this looks great.
Thanks.

Kim August 10, 2011 at 3:05 pm

I have seen a similiar idea and they made christmas decorations with them. My 11 year old makes all kinds of play weapons with them and duct tape. Plus anything else he can think of “Junk Art” is all over my house:)

Andrea August 10, 2011 at 3:21 pm

I saw this on Pintrest. If only I could find someone to invite me. : (

The Couponess August 10, 2011 at 3:32 pm

I love this idea! Gorgeous!

Carmen August 10, 2011 at 4:57 pm

I’ve used them to make Christmas ornaments before. Basically do the same thing, spray them with glue and sprinkle glitter on them. Add and ribbon and voila!

SB @ One Cent At A Time August 10, 2011 at 5:56 pm

such a great idea!

Erica August 11, 2011 at 9:28 am

Brilliant and inexpensive way to decorate! I love it! I’m so going to give this a try!

Alice @ EarningMyTwoCents August 11, 2011 at 4:12 pm

Seriously cool!!! I am gonna try to do this too! And it looks fo chic :)

Lisa August 14, 2011 at 1:29 pm

LOVE this!! We are currently in the process of painting our living room gray and black (from my Tuscan design). I need something for over my piano, and this will be PERFECT!!
