Family Dollar: $5/$25 – From Richael:
In
this weeks family dollar ad (which came in the mail on Wed. here, NC)
there is a $5 off $25 coupon. My CVS says they honor competitor’s
coupons (but not sales ads), so I’m going to try and use it this week.
All You: Magazine Subscription Deal – From Jana
I’ve been reading about how you and others really enjoy the All You Magazine, so I finally picked one up. Now I love it, so I searched online for the cheapest subscription I could find and I found one that is a great deal!
Get 2 years (24 issues) for only $20 (most others had that price for only one year!). I found it here. I clicked on "shop now", then it even let me pick my local school to receive 40% of the cost for their fundraising.
It was very simple, and I’m hoping all goes well and I should receive my copy in 8-10 weeks!

I was at Wal-Mart this morning and they were busy setting up school supplies. Even though the sales flier hasn’t come out yet I could already buy supplies at sales prices and beat the crowds. I couldn’t resist the 24 pack Crayola crayons for $0.22, RoseArt washable markers
11 count for $0.60, 10 count PaperMate pens for $0.50, etc. -MargaretI went to Wal-Mart this afternoon and they had school stuff out and on sale! Here are the few things I remember:
Crayola Crayons (24 ct.) were 25 cents
Rose Art crayons (24 ct) were 17 cents
one subject notebooks were 5 cents
2 pocket folders were 15 cents
Elmers school glue was 22 cents
Crayola colored pencils (12 ct) were 88 cents-Sarah
Aunt Millie’s Bakery Outlet – From Dawn:
I have been shopping at the Aunt Millie’s Bakery Outlet
for quite some time and feel the need to share. Aunt Millie’s brand has
bakeries in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky and Ohio. Where
there are bakeries, there are outlets or thrift stores for their
bread. The ones near me in Ohio have "Monday Madness" and all their bread is 59 cents (this includes packages of: donuts, bages, english
muffins, whole grain loaves, sub buns, hamburger/hot dog buns, potato
bread, onion rolls, pita pockets, etc) All of their food freezes
exceptionally well and is so worth the drive! It definitely helps the
grocery budget when I can spend $4 and get enough bread for several
weeks if not a month if I do it right! So, from what I could find on the internet, there are bakery outlets in
Indiana: Muncie & Warsaw
Illinois: Bolingbrook
Michigan: Bay City
Ohio: Sidney, Greenville, Celina, Dayton
Marcie says

Today i went to Chevron Tetco. While i was filling up i heard an advertisment for their rewards card. You get rewarded for anything you buy gas, milk, soda…whatever. This is great because gas prices are awful!TETCO Appreciation Gifts (TAG) is a program designed to reward loyal TETCO Stores customers for shopping at Tetco. It does not cost you anything to join. Any time you make a purchase at any participating TETCO Store, either inside or at the pump, you will earn points that are redeemable for free gifts!!!! You earn 10 points for every gallon of gas, and 20 points for every instore purchase. For more info go to Tetco.com. By the way i believe tetco is Texas only.

If you wait until after school starts then you can really snag the deals on school supplies at WM and Target. I have managed to get a 10 pack of 1 subject notebooks for 10 cents the past 2 years. (a penny each..you can’t beat that). Also they normally have boxes of crayons, color pencils, regular pencils, etc. leftover and those get marked down too. Normally about 10 days after school starts as right when it starts there are still a few families running in getting last minute items. We homeschool so we have no urgent need to have the items by a certain date.

There’s an Aunt Millie’s outlet in Petoskey, Michigan too. It’s on U.S. 31, heading north.

I frequent the one in Fort Wayne as well. Our family loves Hillbilly bread but the Aunt Millie’s wheat has no high fructose corn syrup in it so it’s better. When I know I’m on my way to that part of town (rarely) I will call ahead of time and they will set aside however many loaves of bread as I need (one day it was 20! — we shop a month at a time there). But…if it’s Monday Madness they won’t give the items on hold to you for 50 cents, they charge you full price…but still 69 cents is a steal for that!

Aunt Millie’s also has an outlet in Flint, Michigan, on Dort Hwy. There are always good deals there not just on Mondays!
Julie says
There is an outlet here in Lansing, Michigan. It’s great! Bagels, breads, donuts… They have a wide variety of breads for $0.69 all the time.
Candace says

I’m not sure how regional WalMart is with sales, but I went into the Dayton (Ohio) Mall WAlMart today, and they look like they are getting READY to put out all their back-to-school stuff. (There were lots of empty shelves with planograms hanging on them.)
But they DID have one subject notebooks for 5 cents, so I snagged a bunch of those!
Terri says

here in texas we have several mrs. baird’s bakery outlets. there is one just up the street from our house, but i just recently went in to check it out. they had hamburger and hot dog buns buy one, get one for .79 cents, which made them less than .40 cents a piece. i was very excited to find them as the cheapest ones in our grocery store are over a dollar a package, and i needed a lot for a church barbecue. also, if you spend more than $5 you can pick a free item off of the bonus rack by the registers. i will definitely be going back! 🙂
