Lisa emailed in the following tip:
eBook bundles are everywhere! I bought the Ultimate Homemaker’s eBook Bundle last week, but I know I’ll never read all 97 eBooks — not because they aren’t great, but some just don’t fit my season of life.
So before I make a plan for reading these eBooks I am going to decide which ones to give away.
Did you know you can giveaway eBooks?
You can, BUT you can’t read them and then give them away. The eBook purchase is for ONE user; however, I’m not even going to open the eBooks in my bundle about homeschooling, pregnancy, or babies. That means I’ll be gifting 28 eBooks in my bundle.
All I have to do is attach the eBook files to an email and gift away!
I get to save money buying great eBook bundles, bless others, and de-clutter my own stash of eBooks. That’s a win-win!

Ok, this is seriously confusing. Do I just download the .pdf and then email it to whoever?
If so, does anyone want the pregnancy/motherhood/homeschooling/marriage books from my bundle?
Anna says
I would love the motherhood, homeschooling and marriage ones if you’d be willing to part with them. So generous of you!!!
I thought the ebook bundle looked really cool but we’re on a really tight budget for the next few months. If there’s anything in those sections you didn’t want, I’d love to have them! <annaes123 at gmail dot com).

Wish I would have known this. I would have bought some bundles. Perhaps they will extend the time?

This is actually not true. You CAN read the eBook first, then gift it to someone or even let someone borrow it for a time. It is no different than if I were to purchase a print copy of a book, read it, then pass it along to my friend. What you can’t do is send another copy of the book along to someone while keeping on for yourself as well.

Different ebooks have different copyrights, so some allow you to while others ask that you don’t.

How do we know if we can “gift” it out of even loan it for a few weeks?
Crystal says
Check the copyright section in the front of an ebook. Usually, they have pretty clear details on what is/isn’t allowed on that page.

Does anyone know how on a kindle fire to delete the actual icon thingy once a book or app has been deleted/removed from the device? Just wanting to clean mine up a little and all those icon thingys take up space. Its annoying to have to scroll through stuff thats not even on my kindle anymore.
Colleen M says
Once you remove the book or app from your amazon account you should be able to click on the icon on your kindle and hold your finger down on the icon. A menu should come up that says “remove from carousel”. Hope that help.
Adriana says
On amazon.com, go to manage your kindle. You can delete books from there, and once you sync your kindle again, the book should erase.

Question: Why can’t you read them first and then give them away? Don’t we do that with paper books?
Meme says
I had the same thought. If I’ve bought it why can’t I read it then give it away or just loan it to someone (what about the ebooks you can get from librarys or the amazon library)…seems like a way for them to make more money to me especialy considering that I’m GIVING it away after I spent my money on it the author was already PAID. Its not like I’m selling it or trading it in for credit like you can do with paper books. You can even trade in paper books for credit on amazon. I just don’t get it if you get answer to this question please let me know.

I give away books that I have bought after I’ve read them. Not being able to read an ebook and then give it away doesn’t compute. I know people are afraid it will get put onto a torrent or file sharing site, but it’s an ebook.
I suspect that it will likely go the way of DRM that apple and amazon made the companies get rid of.
