Ok, I knew there was a catch… she pays $15 for one chicken!

I think of this sort of use as “How To Get Six Chicken-Flavored Meals From One Chicken.” Nothing wrong with that, but somewhat different than what I expected from the title.

I thought the same thing at first, but then I considered how much more meat I get from my farm-raised, not factory-farmed chicken. A lot more! And that we eat way too much meat in this country. There is no need to have a big chunk of meat at every single meal if you are eating other good sources of protein (legumes, farm-fresh eggs, etc.) And last, I think several of these are more lunch types meals as well. Those tend to be on the lighter side, at least at my house. I have personally gotten this many meals out of one six-pound chicken. It’s a stretch, but it can be done. 🙂

I love it when I can get several meals out of one chicken or container of ground hamburger. Not sure how many meals we have done but 6 is pretty impressive. Thanks for sharing!
