    I love e-meals! I have been using them for almost 2 years now. Even though this post is labeled gluten free, they also have a variety of other meal planning options. Worth every penny. We never have to wonder what is for dinner. We don’t eat the same thing over and over which introduces my family to new flavors that we would have never tried before. We have been amazed from day one!

    I purchased the $10 for $5 thing and I don’t know how to use it. It says “processing”. Do I wait for an email or something? Anyone know?

    • I got an email almost right away, but I did mine at 5:30 a.m. so their system probably wasn’t nearly as overloaded. 🙂 They send you an email when your voucher is ready, then you get your gift certificate # off your voucher, which you enter at (the instructions are right there, it’s easy!) and they apply the $10 to your account. Next time you buy something, $10 comes right off the top.

  • Crystal, do you have a post about eating Gluten free items? I will check on Janelle’s site also. I am trying to eat more whole foods in my diet and am trying to figure out if gluten free items are good to incorporate. I understand some people are allergic to gluten I think?

      Some people are allergic to or have an intolerance to gluten, and can have a range of manifestations from feeling lousy, hyperactivity (especially in kids), migraines, or digestive problems. The extreme side of the spectrum is celiac, but in most cases you would know something was wrong if you had that.

      As for incorporating gluten free into your diet, I think you’ll find as you switch to more whole foods that you end up reducing the amount of gluten you eat since you’ll probably end up eating less carb-heavy meals in general. Unless you have a compelling reason to go completely gluten free (or any category of “natural foods” really), I wouldn’t suggest cutting it out completely becuase it’s difficult to add foods back into your diet after cutting them out for a long time. Over time you may notice a difference in the way you feel after you eat certain things (once you’re not eating them at every meal) and that might be a better time to consider cutting something out if you still feel strongly about it.

      If you’re working to improve your diet, moderation is really the important part. You can incorporate many gluten free meals without buying special products, since fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, and many grains are naturally gluten free.
