Here are some of this week’s best grocery & household deals from Amazon.com, courtesy of Terry and Mandi from Jungle Deals & Steals. Many of these prices are higher than what you’d pay by combining coupons with sales, but they may be good deals for you if you live where there aren’t many stores or deals are scarce:
Amazon Mom: Amazon has reopened the Amazon Mom program! If you’ve never been a member of Amazon Mom, sign up for a three-month trial to get 20% off diapers, free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime and other exclusive discounts. PLEASE NOTE: You must cancel your subscription at the end of the trial period or you will be charged. Write this date down on the calendar and do not forget to cancel.
Here are a few deals available with the 20% discount:
- Luvs Diapers: Stock up with the big boxes of Luvs Diapers with Ultra Leakguards for as low as $0.12/diaper, or just $0.10/diaper with the 20% discount.
- Pampers Diapers: If you prefer Pampers, you can also get Pampers Baby Dry Diapers for as low as $0.16/diaper, or just $0.14/diaper with the 20% discount.
Nature’s Way Coconut Oil: We haven’t tried this brand of coconut oil yet, but it’s got great reviews, and the price is fantastic! Pick up a 16-ounce tub of Nature’s Way Extra Virgin Coconut Oil for just $7.07 with Subscribe & Save.
Gripz Variety Pack: These Gripz snacks are great for lunch boxes and diaper bags, with their kid-friendly shape and pre-portioned size. Stock up with a 42-count Gripz Variety Pack (Cheez-It, Chips Deluxe, Grahams Cinnamon) for just $14.14, or $0.34 each.
Gluten-Free Bisquick: For a convenient gluten-free baking mix, try Bisquick Gluten-Free Pancake and Baking Mix for just $4.15/box. Mandi’s youngest daughter was gluten-free for several months, and she loved these pancakes made with a mashed banana.
DivaCup: Looking for an alternative to costly disposable feminine care products? DivaCup is a reusable silicon cup that’s better for your body, your wallet and the environment, and you can pick one up on sale for just $21.84. Read more about the benefits of the DivaCup.
Terry & Mandi are a busy mother-daughter team that look for ways to save money without sacrificing a lot of time, and they share their love for all things Amazon.com at Jungle Deals & Steals.
Thank you Crystal! There’s a Walmart close to where I’m going today.
Hi Crystal! If you find a good deal on baby wipes, would you mind posting about it? The Subscribe & Save I had to the Huggies wipes for 2-3 cents per wipe is no longer available. As far as I know, Luvs wipes seem to be the best deal, but I’m confused by their product descriptions. Thank you!
Here’s the best deal I can think of right now:
Walmart has the Pampers soft pack of wipes (64-72-count) for $1.97 each, making it $1.22 after the $0.75/1 coupon here: http://strk.enlnks.com/aff_c?offer_id=118&aff_id=502&url_id=57&aff_sub5=16902071&affsrc=1
This isn’t an incredible deal, but it’s okay if you need to buy wipes.
Well, I’ve never had prime or a free membership and I have waited for Amazon mom to reopen for members…I signed up and got charged $79 without even getting a trial period. I was so upset and disappointed, I called and was on hold for over a half hour waiting for them to figure out what happened.
Conclusion they have no idea why I wasn’t given the 3 mo free trial and why I got charged 79 right out the starting gate with Amazon mom/prime…so they are looking into it and it should take 3 to 5 days for them to override and let me have the free trial and refund my money.
So bummed. They have tech’s taking a look to see if there is a problem somewhere.
I was told this is not the norm for Amazon.
I just bought my first tub of coconut oil this week at Kroger. $5.39 for a 31 oz tub. Seems to be a great deal compared to the prices I see on Amazon. Am I missing something, or is there something different about this coconut oil?
Amy, it sounds like maybe you got refined coconut oil, which is definitely less expensive but lacks some of the benefits of extra virgin coconut oil. That’s just a guess based on the prices I’ve seen elsewhere!
This is from AmazonMom FAQ:
I’m Eligible to Continue Earning Prime Free Shipping Benefits. How Do I Do that and Is There a Limit?
For every $25 you spend in the Baby Store, you earn an extra month of Amazon Mom benefits. You can earn up to one year total of free shipping benefits. To find out when your free benefits will end and how many more extensions you may be able to earn, visit the Manage Your Prime Membership page Membership page in Your Account.
You can still earn a total of a year free.
Oh, that’s good to know; I’d read somewhere else that those benefits were not extending any longer!
So disappointed…I wanted to sign up but I can’t get the three month trial because I had a 1 month trial of Amazon Prime 2 months ago…the only way it will let me sign up for Amazon Mom is by paying $79 🙁
Bummer! Do you have a spouse or significant other than can sign up with a different email? Or does it have to be a female (since it says “mom”)? Just an idea.
Great idea Monica!
If you’re like me and have a hard time remembering when to cancel “free trials” you can set up your Amazon account to not upgrade after you sign up. 🙂
1. Visit your Amazon account.
2. Click on Manage Prime Membership
3. Click Do Not Upgrade
4. Click Turn-Off Auto Upgrade
That is a wonderful thing!
I was wondering this too. I joined for the trial period a year ago, though it kept getting extended because of purchases. So now I’m not sure when it was extended to. Because of the text I too got the impression it was free. Am I just reading it wrong? I know Amazon Prime is not free, but thought they were different.
A couple of months ago, they changed the Amazon Mom program. The diaper discount is now only available to Amazon Prime members, and you’re no longer able to extend your membership by purchasing a certain amount.
From what I understand, diapers have been a loss leader for Amazon because of the discounts and shipping, and that’s why they’ve made the changes to the program.
Hope that helps!
By the way,
We just got the gluten free Bisquick from there the other day because it was on sale. If you have to eat gluten free(so far are oldest does and we are getting everyone tested) the oven baked chicken recipe is sooooooo good!!!!!!! I use it on chicken breast and to make chicken tenders! Also adding cinnamon to the pancakes is really good too!
Mmm, both of those are making me hungry!!
Yes, this makes the BEST pancakes! It also makes really good dumplings (for chicken and dumpling soup).
I’m a little confused, this says “free trial period” but when I clicked through to see what this offer was about, the amazon page says that Amazon mom is a free membership http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=mom_QL_WhatIs?ie=UTF8&node=2965621011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=left-1&pf_rd_r=1M1HYPX78GFM0ZKK3TTG&pf_rd_t=9401&pf_rd_p=1313188942&pf_rd_i=amazon-mom-edit-info (I don’t know why that link is so long, either way can someone clear this up for me? Does it cost to be a member?
i thought maybe the amazon prime was the free 3 month trial, but im not 100 percent sure 🙂
From what I understand, it’s free for 3 months. After that, if you don’t cancel, I believe you will be charged $79. At least that’s what I understand. If anyone knows differently, please let us know!
Amazon Mom itself IS free, but the only benefits that are included in the free membership are the exclusive discounts.
In order to get the extra 15% off diapers and wipes, you’ll have to also be an Amazon Prime member. This three-month trial includes Amazon Prime, allowing you to take advantage of those benefits for that period as well. That membership costs $79/year after the trial ends if you want to continue to receive those benefits.
Hope that helps!
