ALDI Organic Line to Become Permanent!

Buying-Real-Food-at-Aldi

Erin from The Humbled Homemaker emailed in this weekend and said:

My blog editor, Elsie, represented my site at a blogger event at the Aldi Test Kitchen this past weekend. Guess what she found out?

“The organic line WILL be a permanent thing! They’re hoping to have the organic line in most of the stores by Christmas! It will include organic butter, milk, salad greens, nitrate-free bacon, lunch meat, and more!”

If I could turn cartwheels, I’d be doing so right now!!

Check out Erin’s post on buying Whole Foods at Aldi and what she recommends that you purchase at Aldi.

That Is Fabulous!!! Very happy to hear it.

  • Victoria says:

This makes me so happy I love Aldi’s and like supporting them. I just hope our store gets the line. So far we have not gotten much of it locally.

  • Kristin says:

Yeah! I hope this includes meat! The grass fed ground beef is great and about $1.20/lb. cheaper than our local chain. The chicken is good, too!

  • Rachel says:

Whooo! That is awesome news! I’ve found a few organic things while shopping there and I’m loving the prices!
    Thanks for sharing 🙂

This is exciting news!! Aldi just moved into the Houston market this year and I have loved shopping at their stores. They have become my one stop grocery shopping store since they opened their doors in April…can’t wait to see the new organic line of products they have available!!

  • Sue says:

I hope my store gets this permanently. They had a bunch of items when they 1st brought it out for a test, but then that was it. They had a small display of pasta sauces & broths 2 weeks ago & I stocked up with what they had – I saved over a $1 for each one versus what I pay at Wegmans.

  • Ruth says:

That’s great! Really hoping that they add some vegetarian friendly things too, like tofu and vegan butter.

  • This is certainly a win/win for everyone!

  • Kate says:

I love this too, but the meat has disappeared from our locations and when I asked about the beef, they said they had to pull it because it wasn’t really organic. I’m not sure how true that is but I hope they get it straightened out by Christmas.

  • Heather says:

How exciting! Maybe one day I can do ALL my grocery shopping at ALDI. That would be excellent!

  • Jeanette says:

When I was in Aldi’s last week, I noticed some of the Simply Nature foods said organic under the name and some did not. Is there a difference?

  • Aliesha says:

    This is awesome news!

This is so great! We don’t have a Trader Joe’s where we moved, but we do have an Aldi. I did see a few organic things there, but was really hoping for nitrite-free bacon and lunch meat!! Yeay!! We don’t have it yet (central pa) but hopefully soon!

  • Their organic salad mix is so good! I can’t believe how cheap it is too 🙂 Love, love, love Aldi!

  • Meredith says:

This is great news! Just like PP said, I saw it at our Aldi months ago, and went back and there was nothing. Hoping to see it all again soon!

  • Laura says:

Don’t forget to read your labels. I was disappointed to see that the organic butter listed “natural flavor” and the conventional butter did not!

  • susan says:

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Katherine says:

This makes me sooooo happy 🙂 The Aldi in my town only carriers the organic/all natural line when it’s featured in the add. So, once it’s gone… It’s gone. I always pick up several cartons of their chicken broth because I never know when it’s going to be on the shelves again. Organic, free-range chicken broth for $1.79? Yes, please!

  • Lynette says:

Happy birthday to me! Seriously this is awesome to know as I have been making the real food journey, so far we have completely nixed artificial dyes and we are working on gling further with our journey.

  • Carrie says:

YES! One of my favorite cashiers gave me the heads up on this weeks ago. Very cool!

  • Tiffany says:

Yay! I would do a cartwheel too if I knew how to do one. 🙂 They completely sold out of the organic meat at our Aldi’s within a few days and the other organic products don’t last long.

  • Tammi says:

I wish we had an Aldi here alas it is much too expensive to do business in California! ;/

  • Kristina says:

Apparently that decision is not chain-wide. The one here put most of their organic things in their clearance section and told me they won’t be getting in any more organic meats or dairy at all.

  • Carreen says:

I am so very thrilled about this!!

  • I am super excited about this. I have seen many additions to our Aldi – my favorite was the Organic Applesauce. My girls love applesauce and I have finally found one that is organic and has an amazing price! I have also seen squeezables for kids and organic spinach. can’t wait to see more!

  • Pamela says:

I spoke to a representative at their corporate headquarters last week and asked her about the organic line. The woman I spoke with told me that everything was still in testing and it could take a couple of years before any of their organic products became permanent. based on what I’ve read here today I hope she had no idea what she was talking about.
