People ask me all the time whether it’s really worth it to sign up for free samples. Well, all this took me just two minutes to sign up for… So yes, I think many samples are totally worth signing up for!
5 things you should know about this picture:
1) This was a box of free samples from SampleSource.com. If you’re not already signed up with them, you totally should be.
2) It’s completely free and they’ll send you a box of samples every few months like this. All you have to do is log in when they email you that samples are ready, take a quick survey, and choose which samples you want.
3) My favorite samples from this batch are the travel sized toothpaste and the baby wipes. Those are perfect for keeping in your purse/travel bag. Watch my video on Facebook here for my unboxing of this free sample box.
4) The hair products are a close second. I love to have a stash of those for traveling.
5) I don’t have any affiliation with SampleSource other than to have enjoyed multiple free boxes of samples from them.
(Tip: Sign up for my daily email newsletter and I’ll let you know anytime there are great samples like this available. Or, you can check out this page here for all the latest free samples I’ve posted recently.)

I sign up for a lot of free samples as well. I’m not as concerned about privacy, but I did have a really bad reaction to a deodorant (horrible back acne which I have never had before). So I am no longer signing up for anything that I don’t know what is in it. And definitely no more “extra strength” deodorants. Normally I don’t have a lot of skin reactions, but this one was terrible. I have plenty of lovely scars on my back to show off this pool season.

I agree completely. There are specific things that I really enjoy receiving free samples of. I, too, have become a little more selective, but I always love hair care and other travel size items. In fact, even my teenage sons love having samples on hand. We also love having detergent samples. We travel for sports several times each year and it’s so convenient being able to wash uniforms with free samples.

I used to sign up for a lot of things but have realized I am giving away a lot of privacy by doing so. I will still give my information to larger companies that I trust but do so on a very limited basis.

Julie, I am with you on this. I used to sign up for every sample and changed my mind when I considered privacy. Now, I don’t need samples for personal care and many other things because I use the same ones all the time (and they are great quality)!

I’ve started being picky about which samples I sign up for. That saves me time and clutter (though the samples are nice to give away or for visitors). So, yes I think samples are worth it but I only spend time for samples I’m truly interested in.
Having an auto-fill type thing for your information helps filling out the boxes a lot faster too! 🙂

I can’t wait for mine to come in the mail. I love signing up for freebies. It is so nice to get a little gift in the mail!

I think it’s always worth it to sign up for free samples! I love using shampoo/conditioner samples, as well as body wash, toothpaste, and face wash samples in-between new, full-size bottles/tubes of products. It’s fun to switch it up, they stretch the supply of the full-size products I use, and they actually sometimes end up lasting much longer than you’d think!
I have to say that I was totally bummed with SampleSource, though. I had my first experience with them recently, and was thrilled to take their survey and qualify for all the samples you did. (There were a ton!) But my box arrived in the mail this week, and and I literally received one foil pack of shampoo/conditioner samples and two coupons. So bizarre! And a little disappointing. I’m not sure if it was a glitch or a mistake? Either way, kind of a bummer and a little confusing.
Ah, well! I guess I can’t be too complain-y about free stuff, eh?
