Are you tight on time or money but want to eat healthy meals at home on a regular basis? Consider starting a Freezer Club with your friends.
“A Freezer Club is a small group of friends (anywhere from 2-8 people) who commit to cooking freezer-friendly meals for one another each month.” ~Rachel at Thriving Home

I did something like this with my best friend years ago. It definitely works best with other families of approximately the same size, same ages of kids, and same eating habits.
I don’t get it…more details please! Am I cooking or freezing? Are friends going to each others houses to eat? Does everyone bring a meal to 1 persons house then divvy up leftovers to be frozen? Please explain!!!
Sounds great !!
How does the pricing work I’m on a budget?
This is a great idea! I am in a cooking club that meets monthly with different themes. Its more of a social club, but Its always a nice night out with tons of great food and company. We have talked about expanding to a soup swap night, but I also like the freezer cooking idea! Thanks!
I love this
I would SO do this if we had an extra freezer to store food in!
Look on Face book sites in your area type yard sales online or Craigslist, I got a full standing one that locks for 100 dollars, I love mine.
This is very timely! I’ve been thinking about asking some friends if they’d be interested in doing something like this. 🙂
Oh wow, what a cool idea! I had never thought of that before! I am going to have to mention this to some friends….that sounds fun, too! 🙂
Would love to learn the freezer meal recipes before doing the freeze club.
Me too, where do we find them?
I just started one a few weeks ago. Our first swap is this coming Saturday actually. The thought of it was a little overwhelming at first, but I discovered I had a friend who has been running one for a year. I went and picked her brain for a few hours while she was prepping a freezer meal herself, and found that I can do this. The only hump I encountered was setting up the group guidelines, but that was due to me thinking I might be able to please everyone. I’m excited to see this project take off.
Congrats, brownie! Getting one started is the first step. Don’t be surprised if there are a few hiccups along the way as your group gets the hang of it. But, after being in one for seven years, I can tell you it has been a huge blessing to our family. If you have questions along the way, feel free to email or comment on my post. Would love to help!
