Weekend Giveaway: Carseat Sidekick (13 Winners)

carseat

The Carseat Sidekick was born out of necessity: as any parent of a newborn knows, it’s frustrating when you’re trying to place a sleeping baby into the carseat, only to have to wake your little one by trying to find the straps of the carseat.

With the Carseat Sidekick, you won’t have to worry about messing with carseat straps again. It holds them out of the way and helps your little one stay asleep!

The Sidekick comes in fun colors for boys and girls and is compatible with all major brands of infant carriers.

Review by Amy from Amy’s Finer Things:

After having five babies, we’ve learned which gear is necessity and which is not. It definitely never occurred to me to have a product to keep the car seat straps open and ready for baby, but this should work!

Our sixth is due this summer, and Mama only has so many arms. The magnets are strong on the Car Seat Sidekick, and I’ve no doubt they will hold the straps out of the way.

Is it a necessity? Well, we’ve lived without it and survived five babies, so I don’t know about that, but I am looking forward to trying it out with our sixth! -Amy

Products like these make me so sad. It is gross misuse of your car seat to add aftermarket strap covers (or anything that did not come in the box) and the chicco car seat used in the product video expressly prohibits attaching anything to the handle while in use. Usually your giveaways are great, this one missed the mark.

I wondered if they ever contacted a car seat company. The reason car seat companies ask you not to use aftermarket products is because it can reduce the effectiveness or even be dangerous. I guess each person has to decide for themselves if they are comfortable with the risk.
