I’m still learning how Walgreens works. Do you pay the $5.74? How do you get reimbursed so that it comes out free?

  so you buy 2 1 at 6.49 and the other at half off 3.25 = 9.74 – 2.00 – 2.00 = 5.74 (before taxes as most states have a different rate)…this item you get 3000 balance reward points, since u are buying 2, that means 6000 pts….1000 pts – $1.00. now i did this and then i used 2 1.50 coupon so the 2nd time around i paid $6.74 and IF i had said, yes, use up my 6.00 i accumulated on my balance rewards card, i would pay 6.00 less BUT then i would NOT get another 6000 pts. so i paid out of pocket but now have 12000 pts/12.00 to spend on other items.

I realize this has been explained and explained again on various blogs, but I am still struggling to “get” Walgreens’ new Balance Rewards Points. Oh well.

I’m not seeing the balance rewards for this item in my local ad. Is it only advertised in store or might it not be a national promotion?

I, too, did not see this deal at my Walgreens in NM. I came online to make sure it was still a deal from this week.

Thanks for the great tip, I also was able to print $3/1 coupon for Simple facial moisturizer. That is also BOGO 50% off at walgreens as well. I got two pack of facial wipes, a moisutrizer and eye roller cream, placed the order online for web pickup and you get $5 off your first web pick up order. Out the door I got 2 packs of facial wipes and 2 moisturizers for $17.27 with tax and 6000 points! Thanks for the tips!!! Love this site
