I went to 2 CVS stores in NE tonight and neither of them had this unadvertised deal. At both stores I asked them to scan the shaving cream anyways just to see and they were right. I had a lengthy conversation with one manager and she said that she has worked for CVS for 9 years and has only seen 3 unadvertised deals. She said she is not sure how they appear on blogs and how some people get them, but in her experience they aren’t likely to be real. Darn- we need shaving cream!

I also live in NE (New Hampshire). One CVS store was out of the product so I figured I was too late. My other CVS store was fully stocked so I grabbed some of both shaving products. They did not ring up correctly and there wasn’t any attached coupons. I also spoke with the Manager who had no idea of any unadvertised specials. He had never heard of them. So…next time I plan to get to the CVS store that was out of the product to see if they will have the special. Hopefully, they will restock soon so I can try it there. My feelings is that New England doesn’t run the specials in most of these blogs that the stores out west and down south run. I have found NH a hard place to find anything but toothpaste for free and occassionally some dental floss. Most of my stores are higher priced than the blogs show and the coupons are usually a lower value making most deals less than sweet!

Just a heads up: I went to CVS yesterday, and sure enough, the Schick Hydro Shave Gel was in fact, on sale for $3.99 (8.4 oz). They were also marked with the ECB deal on the shelf. I picked up three and each had the $2.00 off peelie, which brought the price down to $1.99 each, and then earned $4 ECBs on each one. The ECB deal limit was three, and I got three. So they were free PLUS a $6 MM after ECBs and peelies!!

The two kinds of Skintimate shave gels I tried (rang up $3.99) did NOT trigger any ECBs… Hope this helps!

Thanks Crystal, for all you do!!!

My CVS in Costa Mesa, CA had 2.00 peelies on the skintimate dry skin but didn’t give ECB at register nor did it have a sign for ECB by product. I still bought 2 since I pretty much got B1G1 free with the peelies. Bummer though, would have preferred ECB AND peelies ;) Haha.

Ditto..just checked both our CVSs…the girl at the first one was soo sweet and helpful and had no problem checking to see if the ECB would print – which they did not – but she seemed to think the Schick would but I was only looking for ‘dry skin’ for a friend..so I figured I’d double check at the other CVS…that girl was SO condescending..had such an attitude straight off..and was basically talking to me like I was dumb lol – and she would not ‘check’ to see if they would print, insisting if they weren’t advertised then they didn’t exist…she was like NO, they were on sale three weeks ago and that sale’s over…and I was like…I know..I think its a new sale…lol…but I just thanked her and left..

My CVS had the deal listed only under the razors. Because it just says $4 bucks for select skintimate and shick they could not tell if it was just for buying 1.

I found the peelie, but my CVS in Chicago did not have this deal either…bummer. Still a good deal for us.
